Personally, I really like their songs from 8 letters, not all of them but definitely more and their newer one HDYLS is 🔥 thank you for posting!

You only know this one record so you don't have any comparisons but this album really sounds a lot more mature and as far as i know, they pretty much exclusively wrote and produced it so it's more theirs than any of their stuff before. I really enjoy the whole album, but especially the first half, I also liked the rock influences that we kind of abandoned in the 2nd half and it feels like we played it more safe with the more generic pop sound. But I still like them too lol but yeah i definitely see lots of potential and room for them to grow

2022-07-29 17:19:47 +0000 UTCI have loved why don't we since 2017 and while I loved this album when it came out, I haven't listened in a hot minute and I honestly get what you mean that the songs sound the same. I don't know if I'm just used to 5sos songs at this point, but they didn't hit as much as I remembered. But of course I still love these songs purely for the nostalgia. But like I mentioned you should check out how do you love somebody and some of their other newer releases like just friends, love back (more pop but still good), let me down easy (lie). and I still think how do you love somebody is some of their best work so far. Honestly all these songs are much different vibes than the album, and it is more in the direction they have been trying to get to
