whiny assholes? they are just not shonen protagonists, they have nuanced characters and respond as much as a reasonable person could in their cirumstances. So by your metric Evangelion is also godawful? Evangelion which has most of the same problems according to you but even more exacerbated? because at minimum Eureka Seven's story is very straight in comparison to Eva and the "no choreography"? Were we watching the same anime? Bones did a miracle of animation with Eureka Seven even by standards of 10 years later, and it was done by hand, none of the easier cuts of new anime doing things with 3d backgrounds and effects

Monster is boring. Johan doesn't do nearly enough to make himself seem threatening. When the various bad guys Dr. Tenma faces go on and on about how cool and sexy he is, it makes them seem weird and pathetic, which undermines them as credibly dangerous.

I hate to do this to you Eduardo, but my hot take is Eureka Seven is absolutely godawful. The characters are whiny assholes, literal babies, or something in-between. Most enemies are absurd pushovers and fights have no choreography. The first major fight against THE END ends before it starts on an attack that involves literally zero moving parts.

AOT ending is actually peak Eren, aside from the Mikasa line, I think it fit the character of Eren well because thats quite literally how he had always been. The act of Mikasa doing the yknow slice and dice, it was kind of a good way to release Ymir from her "love" from the first king imo.

Hunter x Hunter's Chimera Ant arc is overrated, in particular during the palace invasion section of the anime. The narrator overexplaining every minute detail killed the pacing and made it feel like a slog to get through. I feel this narration had a place in the manga, but translated poorly in the anime where scenes literally needed to be slowed down in order for the narrator to finish.

Action Figures are almost always a better option instead of a regular figure. Mainly for cost reasons. See a pose I like? Just use a figure of that character and copy it and bam your done. Much better than having to spend tons on the same character for different poses. But there are exceptions where a figure can get a pose that an action figure cant, either by the effects sorrounding the figure or being able to bend in ways a action figure couldn't. Luffy figures are a good example of that. But some characters dont have any figures at all, mainly video game characters, and with an action figure of that character I can get all the poses I want.

Jojo Part 4 is the worst Jojo part especially the first half. The main villain of the first half was red hot chili peppers. His whole thing was just to hide and the moment they got to him he got beaten up (He was a pathetic Villain for Jojo's). In the start every "bad" person they fought ended up as their friend (Like in Fairy Tail). Most of the character in my opinion also did dum choices and had situations were they easily could come out of, if they just would think a little (Rohan Kishibe was the best character in Part 4 because he actually used his brain). It also went from an adventure with the boys around the world were half the cast died to a sit come in a town were no main characters died. Otherwise It was pretty good 8,5/10

I wanted to experience hxh again for the new chapters after the anime so i decided to read the manga but holy mid it is so incredibly lackluster. The anime was amazing but the manga is just such a inferior experience. Nen is barely comprehensible in black and white and Togashi's art definitely didn't help. Pacing just felt too fast as well. (Meruem's death and gon v pitou were still good at least)

Only answer this entry if you’ve seen the latest Ghibli. The Boy and the Heron was a huge letdown. The first act is filler, story meanders, Mc has boring personality, the message Miyazaki made of himself has no relevance to actual story. The plot twist boosted this movie from a 4 to a 5/10. Definitely not the best movie since Spirited Away, i dare say the worst film of Ghibli and 2023.

A new looney tunes is coming out this year. It’s “Disney/cinematic 2d animation”. Made me think that TMS worked on animaniacs and Batman. Disney had their own studio in Japan. Doraemon, Pokémon, and Lupin 3rd have 3d 24fps movies. Rankin-bass movies were Japanese. 80’s cartoons made by America or Japan looked the same. I think Japan should be making just as much content that doesn’t “feel anime”, so we can laugh at weebs who won’t call it anime.

Honestly I hated Evangelion, it was so overhyped and Shinji was so unbearable to watch. Light novels are always better than anime and usually better than manga. generally books are one of the best if not the best way to consume a story. I don't like movies in general and while some can be good, I would prefer reading them instead.(unless its like john wick and then that doesn't apply)

Modern anime now is much better than the old classics. Especially in terms of quality. Yes the ratio of good and bad is worst today and some good shows today is a rehash or have been done before, but in terms of the quality of production and making new concepts is much better especially if it's something that is unique even before the old times.

League of Legends has actually taught me many life skills. I've honed my patience, skill and mentality through grinding ranked for almost 12 years now. League has forged me to become more and more accepting of dumb and unreasonable remarks, people, and situations. This has helped me a lot in real life, whether it be work, experiences or relationships. I've forged my mentality to not get swayed too easily, though there will still be times where my patience level exceeds and start releasing emotions. With every game I've been able to try and look at it with the bigger picture. Ranked game loses used to trigger me a lot, as it feels that I've lost a lot of time, and rather than progress, I've lost progress. But in recent time after all these years, I've felt that with every game, it's an opportunity to get better. Every game I've been able to improve myself, whether it be skill or mentality. I've a mindset that makes me enjoy even the shittiest games. This has greatly impacted my work and relationships. Despite how bad a project might seem, I am able to follow through with the stress and pressure like I do with League ranked games. I've started to focus more on the macro of relationships and work as well. Another major life skill that I've acquired from years of league is almost 10x the click and micro efficiency when it comes to work. I work as a Website designer/developer and my clicking speed and accuracy when designing is noticeably faster compared to my seniors or other colleagues. Same with how I can navigate through my work and multitasking as well. Without League of Legends, I don't think I would be working with such efficiency. League of Legends might not be as bad as people make it seem. It's just how we approach the game. I've always had mechanics that rivals top players, but always start to get too swayed emotionally to win games. Although late, I've recently acquired the mentality that makes me more consistent and more bigger picture thinking. It's not always about showing the enemy you're the hot shit, but to actually do the right things patiently, and achieving your goal, winning. With the enlightenment I've acquired from League Of Legends, I do not feel the impulse to play ranked games just to show my friend list I'm not boosted (and then proceed to int), but to play only when I feel ready, and to have a consistent performance and not let losses affect you too much (which it used to, making me unable to do anything afterwards). I feel like these things has made my life more zen and forgiving towards almost anything, as I in my mind have a bigger picture, a goal and the next step forward. My take: League is a good game if you use it right.

I think my least favourite horror movie of all time is A Silent Place. Such hot garbage of cinematography that made me question my decision of watching that disgrace of a movie. The main horror in A Silent Place was how horrible it was. So many illogical decisions made by the characters, objects placed in areas and positions where they really make no sense of being in and a stupid way of finding the weakness of the monsters. My biggest gripe about it are the 2 scenes about one damn nail on one of the steps of the stairs in the basement which had no business of even existing there and defied the laws of physics "just for the plot". The whole movie is based on "just for the plot" and no real logic.

JJK S2 honestly was sensory overload. Animation and fights were fantastic but too much at points (looking at you episode 17). In certain fights I genuinely felt that too much was happening at once that I got bored/ felt sleepy. Same issue with John Wick 4, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning and other excessive action films/ anime.

"Undertale" is OVERRATED! I appreciate the game and everything about it but the story was mid, confusing, and weird. Didn't understand the storyline until I watched a summary video after completing the game multiple times. The character designs were alright. The main character felt boring and bland but Sans was cool though. The gameplay felt repetitive and the dialogue was corny and unnatural. I'd rather just play "Earthbound" or "Omori". The only good thing that came out of that game was Megalovania.

I think Arcane had an amazing production and fire art style, however, as someone who knows nothing about LOL I find it hard to keep my interest in middle of the show. Breath of the wild to me is like 6/10 maybe 7 at best but for whatever reason people give it a 25/10. I don’t understand why people give it so much praise when in reality it’s a tech demo there’s very little to do in that game especially for an open world game. People will argue especially the Nintendo fans saying they added a lot more in the DLC and yes, but I talking about base game, look at other open world base games like ghost of Tsushima there is a lot to do in that game for its side quest my personal favorite being “The Six Blade of Kojiro” and completing these side quest will reward you with either armor pieces , weapons or money, in BOTW there might be some side quest that will reward you but most of the weapons and maybe armor You have to find around the open world and let’s not mention weapons breaking after 4 to 5 hits. There are 120 shrines where you could argue these are side quest you can do and there are a lot of them however, in terms of the quality in the shrines there’s very little of it when you compare to the other puzzles in Zelda games not to mention some of the shrines you have to fight monsters those are even puzzles other shrines will rewarded you for just making it to the shrine, to me there’s more quantity then there is quality. They focus mostly on the open world aspect of it which is good you can go straight to Gannon if you wanted to but when you decide to explore the world I feel like there’s not a lot of depth it that just me personally. (This is just a rant. People who played BOTW have genuinely never played an open world game In their life calling it revolutionary,groundbreaking first of its kind when it wasn’t the first to do any of the stuff that other open world games have done and the people who give it those praise are just Nintendo exclusive fans that live off praising Nintendo.Lastly, let’s not forget that there was a time when breath of the wild came out, whenever a new open world game would come out specifically Genshin impact the BOTW fans we’re on Twitter, making highlighted videos showing things Genshin “stole” from BOTW and I swear to God, it was shit like climbing a wall and opening your map with the touch pad. Nintendo fans would try to compare other open world games or other games like it’s a copycat or they stole this from breath of the wild when it was not the first to do any of this shit.)

1. Tokyo Revengers has one of the worst written character in fiction which is surprisingly not Takemichi but Mikey 2. I have an irrational distaste for No Game No Life and it doesn't deserve a season 2. The first episode makes winning the games seem like actual skill and strategy, but the rest of the show is more "I made it the fuck up" insanely impossible plans than every JoJo and Baki episode put together. You also can't have the battles provide any tension when you introduce the main characters as never losing a game because they would probably turn to shut-ins without any motivation if they ever lost. Even Bocchi could manage to be in a separate room from the rest of the band without turning into a mess. Not to mention if the incest in the show can make Garnt cringe, maybe you shouldn't be allowed to try and keep cooking

Kill La Kill is not a good show. It does not have a good story, it has multiple dropped plot threads, it has paper thin characters, and it doesn't meaningfully or satisfyingly resolve any of it's central conflicts or themes. People who think Kill la Kill is a good show either only enjoy it on a rather superficial level (they enjoyed some of the action/humor/music and vibes, ergo the entire show is good to them) or call it good to obfuscate the fact that they are just jerking off to the horny character designs. There's nothing wrong with enjoying a thing for shallow reasons, but we don't need to pretend that the work is a 10/10 masterpiece. We call isekai, ecchi, and drama shows trash all of the time despite them having good elements to them, so just be honest and say that you enjoy the trash show that is kill la kill.

I agree with Joey. Jujutsu Kaisen is mid. Itadori is the most boring shounen main character i've ever seen. I couldn't continue past ep 9 of season 1 cuz of how boring Itadori was and how little personality & character he had. Jujutsu Kaisen may have banger combat scenes & an interesting power system & world, but Itadori was just such a big bundle of nothing. The show failed to capture me within 9 episodes. Itadori is more boring than Deku or Tanjiro. i don't get why ppl make such a huge fuss about incest in anime & manga when it's between step-siblings. The reasons incest is seen as bad are the potential genetic deformations and the possibility of grooming being the cause of the incestuous love. But that doesn't apply to step-siblings who don't share blood-relations and got to know each other much later in life (usually as teens in anime/manga). The Avatar (Airbender) movie Is actually good. Good, but not great. A solid 6 out of 10. Given the INTENSE pushback, however, I feel compelled to say "No, this is the greatest movie of all time!!!!!" but I know that is an emotional response due to the hate I have personally received for liking the movie. Common criticisms: "The actors are so bad!" So what? I guarantee you that you have that one film that you love where the acting is awful but you love it anyway. And in this case, I forgive them because they hired actual martial artists. This is so much better than what Hollywood is doing today. The movie has awesome fight scenes and getting actual marital artists is, in my opinion, much more important than A-list acting. "It butchers the show's story/pacing!" No, it doesn't. You're just nostalgic for the show, and think anything that deviates from that is automatically bad. A lot of LotR fans were pissed at the movies for cutting Tom Bombadill, too. The movie's story is coherent, makes sense, and they did the best they could with the time they had. "It looks awful!" I think it looks great. Not amazing, but great. That scene near the end with the GIANT wave? And Aang's arrow glowing blue/white? I got chills the first time I saw that. Some of the CGI is sub-par, but given their budget it looks more than fine. Overall, I know it's one of the worst opinions you can have on the internet, but I genuinely love the Avatar Airbender movie and wish it didn't get so much hate. It doesn't deserve the pushback it got, and it only got that way because of the rabid fanbase of young adults who let their nostalgia blind them into caring this much over the live-action adaptation of an animated cartoon for children.

The skill level required to play fighting games is much lower than what you think it is. It usually only requires that you engage with the game's tutorial just like any other game. The skill barrier only exists if you wish to compete. If you see a game like sf6 or ggstrive and you like it, just boot it up and start playing online games you'll be surprised how many people are at a beginner/intermediate level of these games.

Isekai actually has huge potential as a sub genre because of the flexibility it provides for storytelling. It's just a shame that instead of unique worlds with different cultures to explore, we generally get run-of-the-mill medieval power fantasies that are essentially carbon copies of each other. Very rarely does the potential of Isekai get deeply explored.

Domestic Girlfriend is a 10/10 manga! (I haven't watched the anime, don't know how it compares). It takes you on a journey through the MCs life: high school, then university, and beyond. Whereas a lot of series take place entirely in one setting until the last chapter which might have a time-skip. The side characters are quite interesting as well and I find that the relationship drama is usually reasonable. Rather that the usual trope often overblown misunderstandings. I personally was happy with the ending, though I seem to be in the minority. Lastly, Hina is best girl.

Hunter x Hunter (2011) doesn't need a sequel. The anime wrapped up Gon's journey and had him achieve his main goal (meeting his father), as well as ended the series with the main message about enjoying the detours. Getting a continuation could be nice to know more about characters like Chrollo, as well as maybe to see the future for the main characters, but the 2011 adaptation still has an amazing ending and I am fine with not getting any more anime content for Hunter x Hunter.

Weathering With You is a far better and more profound film than Your Name. Shinkai even admitted himself about YN being rushed and it really shows in WWY where it's everything he wanted to refine and with a brilliant message to boot.

I don’t think gurren lagann is that good and I think claymore manga is shit. -I watched 13 episodes of Gurren Lagann and I just could not care about any of the characters, the plot wasn’t interesting, and nothing seemed to be improving. I kept thinking to myself, “I could’ve watched One punch man for the 30th time and have a way better time than this.” I don’t think I’ll ever go back to rewatching it. -Claymore is a hot piece of trash throughout. The characters are the most bland I’ve seen in any manga with 0 personality. The plot is so directionless and it just boils down to, “there’s a strong monster, but wait, there’s an even STRONGER monster, but there’s even a STRONGER monster.” The power ranking is so random and it’s just whatever the plot requires it to move along. The only good thing about the manga was the incredible art and design of the monsters which is the only thing I won’t take away from Claymore.

There's no point making/having good meals all the time, it's too much effort, time and money. If you just eat plain stuff that might not taste great but gets the job done but have one nice meal every week or fortnight, that's all you need. Plain rice with chicken or eggs all week until you make a nice steak or English breakfast.

I don't really know if this is a hot take but I much prefer winter over summer. I just find the dark and cold a much better vibe than the sunny and shinny. Also cold showers are much better than hot showers I'd much rather jump in the ice cold bath than get in a sauna
