October 2021 Newsletter

Hello everyone and welcome to naughty Halloween!

Firstly, I want to thank everyone that has supported me during the previous months when I wasn’t very active. Your support during that time helped tremendously and I cannot thank you enough for sticking it with me.

Life Update ⌚

I was dealing with depression that came to a breaking point. There were several factors that kept piling on and focusing on creating comics proved to be difficult. I would open up my work for Project Skins Ch.2 and have it ready to work for the day, but couldn’t find myself to work on it. Instead, I spent more time with family and doing things I like to do such as playing games or getting lost in a movie or a Netflix show. Trying to escape reality.

Luckily, my sister and her husband moved back which is a foundation of support I greatly needed. And I was able to have a talk that helped point me in the right direction. I can feel the fire inside me return. Although it is a small flame, it feels great to feel something again!

Missing content deadlines added to the stress. When I first started, my goal was to make one comic per tier resulting in 3 comics per month. I’m stopping the ambitious 3 comics per month standard I put on myself since I haven’t achieved it. I will finish all the stories that I haven't finished, but I won’t be adding any more to the queue until I finish.

New Upgrades 💻

In other news, I built a second computer for work! For anyone that’s interested in the specs, I have a 5950x, 2x3090s, 64GB Ram, 2TB m.2, 2x16TB HDD, and I haven’t even activated Windows 10 yet… The process didn’t go as smoothly as planned since I was copying data from my old pc to my new pc by moving my hard drives. One hard drive was corrupted and changed from NTFS to RAW format. And when I was finally able to recover my data from it, another hard drive got corrupted as well which took more time trying to recover the data. Luckily, I had several backups for redundancy on my other hard drives so I just recovered the main data that didn’t have a backup on both hard drives.

Good news, I finished setting up my Daz Studio workspace on my new PC for the second time! (I literally have the worst luck cause I set up my custom actions for my workspace in Daz and then my PC crashed as I was transferring data from a freakin’ USB! Loaded up Daz Studio and my whole workspace was gone.) Anyways, I haven’t organized my Daz assets to my liking yet, but everything should be set for me to resume work for now. One of my tasks is to get rid of excess morphs that I rarely use since that vastly slows down the loading time of the G8F figure. I still need to set up my other programs to get my new PC up and running, but I’ll be working on getting Project Skins Ch.2 out ASAP!
