Posting Leaks Guidelines
Added 2020-08-05 22:13:26 +0000 UTCHi guys!
I say thanks to everyone who joined after seeing my content leaked. If you found my work that was leaked through other websites and decided to support me, just know that I appreciate you taking action to come make a pledge on my Patreon even if it’s a one time pledge.
Leaks are still something I want to address since the problem will not be going away and it sucks that I have to take time away to deal with this…
Here are some quick guidelines to posting my work online to other sites if you really feel the need to do so.
- Please wait the allotted time I ask for to respect me and my supporters who paid for their content. (See below)
- Please downsize the comic you are leaking to HD resolution (1280x720p).
- Please link all of my related websites where people can find my work.
Time Exclusives
I ask that you do not leak my content quickly after I have completed the comic. It’s pretty disheartening that I worked hard to complete a comic for my supporters to only have it leaked days later than the intended public release date...
Here are my old public release dates:
Tier 1: Uploaded to the public after 1 month of completion date.
Tier 2: Uploaded to the public after 2-5 months of completion date.
Tier 3: Upload only preview pages (Around 20-30 pages). Contents in this tier are exclusive. Please refrain from uploading the full content to other sites.
I will be updating my public release dates with the new update to Tier 1:
Tier 1: Upload 1 month later after date of completion to the public.
- These content will be quicker to make so I feel it is appropriate to keep it uploaded at the same timeframe as above.
Tier 2: Upload 1 month later after date of completion to the public.
- This is the only change in how I will be uploading for this tier since I will not be making comics for Tier 1 anymore effective 2020 September. (All comics in queue will follow the old public release date until I catch up with my content).
Tier 3: Upload only preview pages. Do not upload the full comic to any other websites.
- If you feel inclined in sharing this content, please only share partially (20-30 pages) instead of leaking the full comic.
Downsized public content
Please note that the comics I post publicly are downsized from Full HD resolution (1920x1080p) to HD resolution (1280x720p). This is set up this way so my supporters have access to the original quality content at Full HD res. Therefore, sharing the original quality content without paying for it is disrespectful to my wishes and my supporters who paid for my content.
Link my works
This is the easiest of the three to do, but also easy to forget. Simply copy my website links and paste it in the description wherever you are posting my work to.
Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/AstralBot3D
DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/astralbot3d
My Website: https://www.astralbot3d.com/
Pixiv: https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/8668472
Twitter: https://twitter.com/AstralBot3D
I’m starting to use Pixiv so it’ll take some time to get used to uploading there. DeviantArt isn’t the best place to bulk upload 100+ pages and it gets really tedious to have to schedule each page one by one. My website will be a place to view my works for free as well as other related content I want to set up there. I know I haven’t been updating the website as much, but it’ll be a place where I want to create blogs and give my thoughts on the comic creation process. I’ll probably use DeviantArt’s journal to mirror what I write on my blog on my website. I have a twitter page, but I honestly never used twitter before… I was thinking of using twitter as an update page for when my comics are completed. I’ll be thinking of how to use twitter for the future.
In conclusion...
This is what I ask of you to do if you really want to share my work.
These are the set of guidelines that I would like you to follow if you feel the need to post my work online. This applies to Tier 1 and Tier 2. I ask that you do not upload any of my Tier 3 content since I want these to be reserved for my supporters. I feel that this is a good balance between the content that will be available to the public and content that needs to be paid for.
I’ll be using my time today to catch up on uploading all my other work that I haven’t been able to post publicly yet. I know a lot of my work has already been leaked, but please respect what I asked for my future work.
Lastly, big thank you once again to all my supporters old and new. You guys rock! Your financial support gives me the opportunity to continue making more content like this. Also, all the comments and messages I read saying that my comics are helping others through this rough time is what brings joy to me. This is a big reason why I wanted to create comics in the first place. If my stories are able to help at least one person’s day be better, I would have fulfilled my purpose. I also want to strive in creating higher quality stories for all to enjoy because this was something that was lacking for me. Thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance to create stories.
Thank you everyone. :)
