July Post Update

New Desk

Hey everyone, July was a strange month. The good news is that I was able to get one comic out within July. But that is also the bad news too. I wasn’t able to complete any other comics that were on hold. I also got a new desk which I’ve been waiting for a long time for because all my other desks that I’ve been using have been those cheap plastic foldable desks. Here’s a pic of my new desk vs my old desk.

This is an adjustable desk I bought from Uplift Desk. This is a worthy investment since I spend most of my time at my desk. Given the ability to adjust the desk height has been a nice touch since I can develop back pain when I sit for a long time. Being able to quickly change from sitting to standing helps alleviate my back pain. My ghetto old desk setup served me good enough from the beginning of the year till now and I’m so happy to get a new desk to do my work at.

I also got a new microphone recently so I can record some video tutorials in the future.

Next Investment

The next thing I need to invest in is a new PC to improve my workflow. I’ve been looking at investing in a GPU with higher VRAM because I sometimes have the GPU not be able to render a scene due to the memory not being able to load into the VRAM. I’m gonna be saving up for either a 24gb at the very least. The 48gb version would be ideal that way I can have it as my display monitor and whatever other gpu I use have as much free VRAM as possible. (There are several factors that add up VRAM usage while rendering in Daz.)

I was having a hard time fitting multiple characters in my Digital Infection comic. Even with the 11gb VRAM on the 2080 Ti, I was having difficulties having more than 5 characters at half resolution textures too. This was extremely frustrating as I would need to hide some characters and do two renders and photoshop them together for the one scene. 

As for now, I won’t be focusing on any character heavy scenes since it takes a lot of VRAM to render out the image or take a lot of time.

Mental Health

Not gonna lie, I’ve been a little depressed over the month of July. Idk why… Sometimes it comes and goes. A part of it is being stuck in the past. For some reason I’ve been reminiscing the past a lot lately. But for now I’m slowly getting the hang of things. I’m starting to see that my mental health is important as my physical health. I’m trying to give more attention to my mental health. 

I am feeling a lot better in the last few days so I’m good for now.

August Updates

Updating Tier 1: LITE (New Changes)

I am planning on changing Tier 1: LITE. I will not be creating anymore comics in Tier 1 anymore. Instead, I will be using Tier 1 to create sequences such as possession, skinsuit, body swaps, gender benders, and other various themes. This can be fun to do since I won’t have to take time creating a story for the build up. These are directed more as fun bite size content. An example would be a ghost possessing a sexy woman’s body. I would only focus on creating the possession sequence instead of creating a whole story.

I also want Tier 1 to be my original creation and also inspired works from movies and other types of content. For example, I love the scene in the Scooby Doo movie where Fred goes into Dalpine’s body. I would focus on that part and perhaps have a little creativity where needed. Or maybe I can get more creative with it and do a spin off. I can use those scenes as an inspiration and make it my own version. There are many inspirations that I would like to try out as well.

The reasons why I want to change this Tier 1

• Has a premise set up already. I’m just branching out to the what if’s. 
• I can focus developing stories on the other two tiers.
• Practice important sequences
• Fun content

I would focus on creating one sequence per month. I’m not sure how much the pages will range, but I’m thinking around 5-20 pages. More or less. I will begin Tier 1 updates coming in September 2020.

All other Tier 1 comics I intended to do will be fulfilled. I do not plan to cancel all the Tier 1 comics that are on hold.

Growing list of uncompleted comics

Yeah, this list is growing and I’m not exactly doing that good here. As of writing, I have 22 comics that are on hold. With the new update to Tier 1, I will have more time to focus on the stories in Tier 2 and Tier 3. I would need to complete at least 3 comics per month to make sure I tackle each comic in a positive growth. I completed 1 comic in July, but 3 more were added in August. So I did not progress as much as I wanted. But now that I won’t be creating comics for Tier 1, which leaves me with 2 comics that will be added for the given month to my workload, so my goal is to complete 3 or more comics per month to make sure I complete all the comics that are on hold.

Once I get to the point where I am caught up with all my stories, that would be an extremely good feeling and it will give me an opportunity to do collabs with other creators and other fun things too.

I’m eager to work on the Bounties series again because it’s one of the first series I created when I started my Patreon. It’s a medieval comic too so there’s like knights and magic and stuff like that! :D

Then my more recent series will continue after the comic above is complete. I'm excited for the Earthlings and Curious Cougar series too!

Tutorials

I plan to do something in the future about some tutorials that might be helpful in learning how to use Daz. These tutorials will be in my experiences and what helps me. I think I might start with how to do the skinsuit effect as my first tutorial because yo! That shit was hard to figure out.
