2023 In Review

Jessa Ray and I have worked together several times in Utah and Nevada. She contacted me and asked if I would like to shoot in the Tetons while she and her family were taking a vacation. I agreed. We met up at Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park (if you've been there, you know what a zoo that parking lot is and it was already a minor miracle that we could find each other). She brought her partner and two little boys along and explained that they were going in search of bears, while she and I shot together. They didn't find any bears that day, but did run into some the next day. Jessa and I spent a half day exploring areas of the park and shooting while her partner and kids went on a hike. You have to realize that Jessa and family had hiked into the mountains to camp the night before we shot. It was about a 10 mile hike out to meet up with me that morning. They are a hiking family.

Jessa and I first went to an abandoned guest ranch and spent about an hour shooting at the abandoned structures and surrounding forests. We then went to a secluded spot along the Snake River that I know about and don't want to tag. We ended the day at the Shane Cabin. The Shane Cabin is an old movie set from the movie Shane filmed in the late-1950's starring Alan Ladd. Catch it if you can. This cabin is the only remaining structure from that movie and the park service is letting it deteriorate away, which is a shame.   Jessa is a great model and fun to work with. Like I said, we have worked together quite a bit over 4 states now. She runs a photo excursion during the summer months (Muses of the West, I think is the name) where she brings in 2 or 3 models along with herself and spends a few days at locations she scouts out. Her partner does all the cooking and models with her a few times during the tour. Check it out if you want an all inclusive photo excursion.

Thanks for your support of my Patreon Page and welcome to the new arrivals/supporters. Your support helps me shoot with some of the best models in the business which I'm truly grateful for. Stay tuned for another feature with Jessa later on in the year (she stayed at my house in Nevada and we shot at a location in Utah).
