Hello all! Baku, creative director of Team OzeCat here!
We recently decided to experiment with presenting our devlogs in a new, more detailed format. Hope you like it!
This week, we fixed a bunch of bugs with the new 0.7.X versions and also corrected several glitches, like Iden’s see-through hood.
Meanwhile, the rework is in full swing. Our scriptwriter has already rewritten the prologue and the main plots of the first three chapters, with the fourth chapter well underway. All told, that’s over 300,000 characters, and I’ve already translated 50,000 of those characters into Russian.
We feel the rewritten story is turning out to be really interesting, though for the most part, only the beginning has seen substantial plot changes. In my view, the new beginning perfectly fits our vision for the game. A new epic scene has been drawn for the prologue to shed some more light on the history of the kingdom Ilias calls home.
Once I’m finished translating the first chapter (another 50,000 characters), I’ll start designing new minigames, and then our programmers will implement them. That means you can look forward to more interesting new additions in the reworked game.
That’s it for this devlog! Now that you’ve read it, do you prefer the shorter version of devlogs (like we’ve done in the past) or this more detailed version? We’re interested to hear your opinions in the comments! Thanks for reading!
