Dear friends and supporters,

I have some news to share with you. For the past three years, Mikey and me (Wewa) created over 160 battle map packs and provided memorable moments for all of you around the table and behind the screens. As you can read from the title, MikWewa Maps becomes Map Doctor.

Who am I?

As a fan of cartoony style and medieval high fantasy, I felt that the existing style and brand image didn't represent who I am. My all-time favorite D&D character was a goofy, plague-mask-wielding warlock who named himself Doctor, and I have missed him a lot since that campaign ended. Wewa is a nickname from my early childhood, and it's a time to grow up and take a stern art direction. I am into comic art drawing, and the guy from logo is my upcoming project, but all in due time. So, let's begin from anew.

Map Doctor Changelog

Mikey is my husband, and he will always help me with packing the maps and creating Foundry modules, but he will be focusing on his own projects. I will create everything myself, from design and sketch coloring to making the map variants. I hope you will recognize the effort behind every map, no matter how useful or not the map is for you at the moment.

I am updating the content distribution and making some quality of life tweaks, and here are the most notable things:

• I am introducing a spreadsheet with all the Patreon links. I am still working on it, and feel free to suggest a change. Check out the Map Doctor Master Notes!
• 300dpi maps are removed, and only 140dpi maps remain, to ease the storage management and reduce size on your hard disks or servers.
• .zip rewards are now (mostly) in single folders, instead of a lot of different links. All content is re-zipped and in the process of reuploading and re-linking to the posts.
• I still use the folder tree scheme for unzipping, so I advise all patrons to re-download all my content.
• FoundryVTT content is now exclusive for $10 patrons.
• Free content (watermarked maps) will be available on exclusively on reddit and Pinterest, watermarked.

Changes by tiers:

$3 'Physician' tier

Variants - I felt that a night variant or a color change was not enough for patrons on this level. Since I created lots of multilevel and multi-floor maps, $3 patrons will be getting at least one additional floor with every map with floors and levels. The night/color change variant still applies to all single-level releases.

Collabs – I moved every collaboration rewards to this tier. You can expect much more collaborations from now on.

Discord server – We gave a little love to our server, and I plan to change that. I will be more active on it, and all of you are welcome to approach me with everything.

$5 'Specialist' tier

Map variations – I feel that the patrons of this tier deserve much more, too, so I decided to step up a bit. I will be drawing map variants with different assets and props, creating a much more unique experience. Expect 4-6 unique variations of a base map, and I will keep drawing some color variants.

DM's notes – A thing I've been thinking about a lot in the past. Since I started drawing maps for our sessions, I always catch myself talking about the map spots aloud. So why wouldn't I number them and write a little explanation?

PDFs for print – I updated all the previous releases, which was a long and arduous procedure. I wanted to provide a white background to as many maps as I could so you could save the precious ink. Mostly the dungeon maps are now on a white background, print-ready.

Demand a color variant – you need night variant, or a blood moon looms over your town? Send me a message on Discord and it will be done in no time!

Assets – We previously released asset packs with battle maps, but that was chaotic and messy. I will create an asset pack once in a while, and I will do it properly.

$10 'Doctor' tier

FoundryVTT has been moved to this tier. I removed the monthly modules and introduced single map packs with every release, to ease the session preparation. I kept the theme modules, due to the convenience while searching for the maps. Moulinette integration is on this tier, for both single map packs and theme modules. All the modules are updated to the version 11.

Patron demand – demand a 300dpi map, map variation, or a color change. I can do it for you, just hit me up on Discord. Yes, I can redraw the variation with some assets you need for the session.

Private Discord server – I know people are in tons of servers, but I would like to invite the patrons of this tier to participate in map creation with me.
