2023-07-14 16:34:06 +0000 UTCthe pop culture references are just me putting in my own experiences with stuff to make the writing process easier, so I really don't care how they age, and the time period is explicitly stated as 2023 so I don't find it an issue to reference things appropriate glad you like this one though, I had a lot of fun with the banter as you've noticed lol. as for the amount of drama, this is not really a drama oriented series so while there's some slight conflict planned I doubt it would be anything close to 'drawn out and contrived'

The sparing with Casey was great with the fun little jabs like "your punches aren't as powerful as your alliterative abilities..." (a small typo just after that - 'Your sister has every right to be made with Mommy.' should be "mad" not "made" I think). Each character their own voice that fit who was talking. I wonder how well the pop culture references will age though. They certainly fit today but will they be a weird time capsule when read in a few years (but then your world of selling stories like this is very front end loaded so the vast majority of views will happen right away and soon after). I am looking forward to the reunion with Shizuka. I know some conflict is needed, there is enough wish fulfillment in this story already, but I hope it is not drawn out and delayed with misunderstandings and contrived issues to keep them apart too long. Its a harem story so lets start the harem after they both get a chance to put it all out on the table, their thoughts, emotions and issues, so they can connect again.
