2025-09-23 14:23:47 +0000 UTCIt's 2002...and the deaths have been going on for 8 years at this point...meaning they started around 1994...hmm, why do I think the Tri-Wizard Tournament has something to do with this issue? Specifically, the use of the Goblet of Fire being used as a competitor selection method...and possibly Harry's name being submitted but no Harry Potter was avaliable to fulfill the contract obligations...and the Goblet's magic continues to hunt for a seemingly unavailable or non-existent 4th competitor. Though Fleur, back at Gringotts, didn't recognize Harry as an adult version of a boy she'd met before or react to him naming himself heir to the Potter & Black families as if he was a known quantity come back to life...so I wonder if Voldie kept up the canon plan in order to use the TWT to lure Harry out to kill him after using Harry's blood to give himself a body (due to disbelieving the "lie" the Wizarding World was told: that Harry died in 1981 vanquisuing Voldemort), and the initial step backfired horribly. Side note: did I inspire the first part of this chapter with my "prophecy" in the comments of last chapter, or was it a case of me taking a huge swing and managing to connect for a home run? Because I'm not sure I'm ready to cope with being a muse to Cambrian if it was the former case 😉
