I love the IT Crowd so much. It gives me such joy to see you enjoying it too. It's hard to choose favourites but I do love S1Ep5 and S2Ep1 the most I think. Like you say, there's so many jokes that are hilarious, it's hard to catch your breath and they stand up to so many rewatchings to catch it all.

I liked the old set better, but it looks fine. If you want to watch a really ridiculous show you should check out Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place. It’s a 1 season 6 ep show that parody’s old dramas but has weird stories. Moss from the IT Crowd (Richard Ayoade) is in it as well. It’s funny but really strange.

Chris Morris who plays Denholm is beloved by many (including me) for his very dark and silly shows such as Brass Eye, Jam, The Day Today and Nathan Barley. Also Chris O'Dowd (Roy) was superb in a recent series of Black Mirror... not sure if you've ever seen that - would certainly be a departure from the usual content but it is arguably the best show of all time.

Chris Morris is a comedy genius. He is funny as hell as a performer but his writing has influenced so many comedies that followed and some you have reacted to. His surrealistic ahead-of-it’s time writing in the early 1990s means like shows like this wouldn’t have probably been a thing. Great show, great presentation and reaction.

I don't think road cycling (the actual sport, I mean, not just riding a bike on the road) is as popular in the US as it is in UK (though Lance Armstrong is a very obvious example of a famous US cyclist), but Denholm's weird outfit was pretty typical of what road cyclists wear: tight lycra shorts & top and shoes that clip into the pedals, although Denholm's armoured version is perhaps a bit less typical than usual! You often see (or get stuck behind) groups of these cyclists on rural roads on a Sunday, all in their lycra outfits. It's often men over a certain age, who are affectionately called Middle Aged Men In Lycra, or "MAMILs" for short.

Just to clear up any confusion, there are no edited episodes. All of the episodes you watch will be intact regardless of where you watch them. The only issue is with one particular episode (Series 3, Episode 4), which was completely removed from streaming services due to supposedly being offensive to a particular minority group. The episode is not offensive or disrespectful in any way, shape or form., but I guess they thought it better to avoid any potential backlash ahead of time. I'm sure you'll be able to find that episode when you get to it.
