2025-09-21 22:17:25 +0000 UTCLol no it's not. It's a prank for new recruits to try and get them to get shit on their hands. His brother told him that to wind him up. Why would you need a finger to clean out the nooks and crannies of your ass? In a survival situation, you use foliage.
ArtVandalHey!
2025-09-20 18:41:12 +0000 UTCWell not really. The law changed and free dingle use carrier bags were banned. Yes, the bag for life thing is a bit of a scam, granted, but you just have your own bags when you shop. It's hardly the end of all things decent, as the Daily Mail seemed to suggest at the time!

2025-09-13 21:14:05 +0000 UTCI've seen some British shops in the US that sell em, and they are usually like a fiver 😬 they often have em in the freezer too since they only have like a bit over a week on em

2025-09-13 12:50:28 +0000 UTCI know it's for comic effect, but it does slightly niggle me that Ricky and Stephen didn't get his point about carrier bags. They used to be a complimentary gesture for customers using their stores, but supermarkets found a way to monetise them under the guise of concern for the environment. Saying 'You can't have a free bag because they kill turtles, but you can still have one for 5p' is like saying 'You can't have this murderous weapon unless the price is right'.

2025-09-13 11:17:56 +0000 UTCA 'crumpet' is difficult to explain. Ingredients are flour (often all-purpose or plain flour), yeast (fresh or dried), milk, sugar, salt, water, and baking powder or baking soda, along with cooking oil for the pan. Some recipes also include butter for the dough or as a topping, but it's not always a core ingredient in the batter itself. They are roughly 3/4" thick and have a spongy/rubbery texture but they taste better than that sounds. Eaten warmed up with a bit of butter/spread on top.

2025-09-13 10:07:41 +0000 UTCThe military method of cleaning your backside with 1/2 sheets of toilet paper is true. The finger is used to thoroughly clean out the nooks and crannies. The remaining paper is used to do a basic wipe of the finger and under the finger-nail. Out in the field if there is a water source or foliage you can dip your hand in and wipe off to give freshen the fingers up.

2025-09-13 00:28:35 +0000 UTCSo today I learned America has no basic safety standards for furniture? Wtf is going on over there?

2025-09-12 22:48:34 +0000 UTCA crumpet isn't an English muffin or a pancake. It's uniquely British. When you come to the UK you have 3 simple chores. Afternoon tea consisting of clotted cream and jam on a scone. Fish and chips from a chippy and buttered Crumpets and tea. An English fry-up for breakfast and a carvery are optional extras.

2025-09-12 22:40:13 +0000 UTCNew furniture sold in the UK has to meet specific fire safety regulations, which includes being properly labelled. There was an incident at a department store in the late 70s where a faulty electrical cable ignited furniture made of a certain type of foam and it quickly turned into a blazing inferno, with the foam also producing thick black smoke. A number of people died. That, as well as rising numbers of house fires where ignited furniture was a major factor, led to the government drawing up new regulations.

2025-09-12 22:02:46 +0000 UTCcrumpet usually for breakfast is like a pastry with holes through it. pop it in toaster for 30 seconds. then put butter on it and it melts and soaks into it through the holes then pop a little drizzle of honey on top.

2025-09-12 21:49:44 +0000 UTCCrumpets are basically breakfast food. Like bread type texture. You warm them up like you’re making toast and then lather them with loads of butter. Really tasty to be fair. I think you should do a video trying out all these foods haha. Make a list of the ones you haven’t heard of and then get them all together and see what you think haha

2025-09-12 21:44:49 +0000 UTCPicklets are real haha. I watched all the time with loads of butter. They are just crumpets to me. I call them both names depending on who I’m talking to

2025-09-12 21:42:38 +0000 UTCA crumpet is a crumpet, there’s nothing like it in the US - you should try some. I think Trader Joe’s used to have them imported from the UK.
