Still Game - S3E4 'Big Yin'

Comments

Years ago a couple of neds started kicking off in my favourite kebab shop in the wee hours, and the Turkish owner set about them with a broom stick, successfully chasing them off. The police were called and questioned everyone in the queue which stretched out into the street at that hour as potential witnesses, and I don't think a single person mentioned the use of the "weapon"! (Also, my pal was drunk like most of us were and tried to get the lady police officer's phone number...)

Black Mark

Jamie Derry

I'm still impressed you don't need subtitles,lol

Jamie Derry

Pretty sure it’s not spelt ‘stoori’.

KDS1920

I think you missed the part where Navid said he was joking about telling big Innes where the booze was lol. He’s just winding Jack up.

Ryan Naylor

Innes does seem like a nice fella, but then again he looks down on everyone.

ElvisLee

aye and he says he moved 15 years ago so he would know everyone and they say its before naveeds time but naveed spoke about staying there since the 70s and hes in the throwback ep doesnt make sense

Jackdeel

In your opinion

trev

Or will he...?

trev

I’ve never had Midori. Is it worth trying? I do like a limoncello or Amaretto.

Julian

Don't worry about Stevie the Bookie. He may be back in more than one episode!

Tony Stephenson

Innes’s big jobby!!!😂 I think they missed hearing Jack’s comment about how he must’ve had to stand up to get off it!😂😂

Davee-man

“Stoori Madoori” 😂 Midori Melon flavoured liqueur. Became my sisters and my drink at Christmas/New Year when we had already had too much imbibing. Just to say we were drinking stoori Midoori. “Stoori” is from a Scandinavian word for dusty. A Viking word.

Susan Jack

I like Jess’ “those thievin’ NEDS” in accent and everything. Chef’s kiss Jess 😙

Susan Jack

There are a lot of inconsistencies here with who Big Innes knows and doesn’t. He doesn’t seem to know Isa or Winston, but surely they’d know him from years before, just like Jack and Victor? A bit strange.

KDS1920

And that montage of Big Innes dealing with the neds, is maybe where Still Game jumped the shark. Sadly, it’s mostly downhill from here.

KDS1920

😃

RegenerationNationTV

Oh wow. Didn't recognize him at all. Tbf he wasn't wearing a giants costume in GOT

RegenerationNationTV

Inis (Clive Russel) was black fish in Game of Thrones. so Mike has already seen this actor and just didn't realise :)

FRASBO .

I'm going to spoil something a little for you. The bookie story will continue... That's all I can tell you.

Alexander Munro

Yup that's where I know him from. His attitude was iconic on GoT

Nicholas Ferguson

Big Innes is from Elgin?! 😁That's right beside me! Also after all this time following your channel on YouTube then subscribing here, Jess's laugh still cracks me up 😂 so infectious 😂

Nicholas Ferguson

Jess " FOUR TITTIES " 😂😂😂❤️

Bobby

Fantastic reaction. You guys and your Still Game slot make Tuesday's bearable :-). Clive Russell who plays Innes is one of "those" faces. He's been in everything. His most famous role recently is probably in Game of Thrones where he played Bryden Tully (The Blackfish). He's naturally well over 6 feet and I think they blocked his boots up here to make him even taller. It's about this time that "Still Game" was taking off as a national institution in Scotland so from here on they get a lot of famous Scottish actors in guest roles (you'll definitely recognize a few). Next week's is one of my favourite episodes in the whole series . . . . and very different in tone.

Dryfesands

Yin just means one, a big yin, a wee yin, a fast yin, a sair yin, an auld yin etc etc. Part of the problem wi understaunin folk in Glesga and the surroundin areas is we've a tendency tae run words together when we speak. "What are you up tae?" is mair like "whiyuptae" when it comes oot haha!

EuanTyumi

Me 37 minutes ago "Yes, new Still Game". Me now "Damn, another week to wait".

Athan Immortal

Few surprises in this one

Steven Grant
