I wouldn't say she's "fine" with it. Just absolutely desperate and convinced this is necessary. Even then, she worries about what those close to her think of her, even when her puppetmaster (Melisandre) who is perhaps the closest person to her is encouraging her. I don't think that this speaks to Dany's lack of moral character so much as what a master manipulator Melisandre is proving to be. She's fully convinced Dany that Westeros is suffering even worse than the slaves of Essos are, and that Dany is the ONLY one who can save her homeland and the rest of the world. I think Dany, although twisted around by Melisandre, is still at her core a good person; and we know what they say about a good man going to war. It's what she does once the truth is revealed to her and the Red Woman is no longer dripping her poison into her ears that we'll see if there's anything worthwhile of Dany left. As for Axel, we know he doesn't like hurting women if he can help it, as proven by the Trial of Seven where he fought Brienne. Maybe he will decide she's a monster who needs to die, but in that case I could see Missandei throwing herself between them to save Dany and her pleas letting Axel spare Dany's life.

Because the Red Witch is doing her best impression of the Emperor from Star Wars...and it's a scarily close impression, especially in the parallels of how Melissandre is corrupting Daenerys to be her ultimate tool to how Palpatine did the same to Anakin and led to the creation of Darth Vader. The big differences are Missandei is far less capable (currently?) of standing up to Melissandre and holding back Dany's dark impulses than PadmΓ© was in opposing Palpatine and keeping Anakin held in the light, and Melissandre doesn't have the capability to make her lies into even partial truths via engineering things in Westeros to be worse off than they are.

Good going girls π Feel that they've really lost sight of things. Even if they were to beat Axel and reclaim the Iron Throne no one would celebrate it and she would HAVE to rule through fear since Dany is going to be viewed less than ideally. Its S8 all over again but earlier and with Dany taking a more direct hand... Claw in things than riding about on dragonback. I don't really see any way for Axel to settle things with the girl. There's only so much feeling bad for someone will do to make you look past bad behaviour and she's turning into a top tier douche. Manipulation or not.
