The Inbetweeners - S3E6 'The Camping Trip'

It's actually over 😢

Comments

Greeting friends from a warm but shitty Swansea

Force Digimedia

12:18 "Where's my f*cking change" - I've seen 100 times or more and I die every time :)

Nathan Wilson

that could possible be the most pointless comment i have seen

c

Another bonus fact for you, when this was made, ASDA (the supermarket that Neil's, err, partner, worked at) was owned by Walmart.

jj

Guys, this has truly been the best reaction series I've ever watched! Had to join Patreon just to see it all and now I'm going to watch the movies with you! Watching along with you has made me appreciate this show just a little bit more, as you see it from a totally different perspective! And you're both hilarious. I don't understand the negative comments on here, people just love to complain, I guess!

Dan Cross

Three whole seasons, but now Jess knows in her heart what a Twat is, so it was all worth it. 🥰

jj

Loved re watching these seasons with you guys. Had to join Patreon as couldn't wait for You Tube to catch up! Check out White Gold (has James and Joe in it) think you'll love that. 💚

Sarah

Every video has a million comments from you fawning over Jess and calling Mike an idiot. Proper weirdo behaviour

James

When u went camping bears might have been a problem but this is in England where they're not a problem lol

Rob Jefferies

update: 21 mins into movie 1, you have redeemed yourself <3 "simons got the best dad in the bunch, i didnt know it until the beginning of the movie" Sorry for my rant earlier, i come from a household of chill parents and just in the last hour ive told my mother how great her and dad were as parents (im currently a full time carer for my mother who has MS). The car rides with simons dad are very like when my dad would pick us up from a night of teenage drinking, he'd be getting all the stories and asking about whoevers fathers and what not, when i had some american friends over he lasted about 20 seconds before he got into a debate about gun rights and how nobody can invade the USA in a ground war lol, the type of facepalm you want to be having while trying to act more sober than you are while your dad drives you home

Blink More

I'll just pop in here at 19 mins or so, and mention that simon is an 18 year old adult. You dont own your children and especially at this age you dont dictate to them how to act around you, unless you want to keep that dynamic up the rest of your life (which a lot of the times means they fuck off to get away and dont come back). At a point you need to start treating your children as adults and speak to them as adults, and simons dad is fucking epic in this whole series IMO in what a good dad should be for a late teens son. He is supportive, he is letting him live his own life while laying down the law as needed at times... but "swearing in front of your mother" must be an american thing, would you ask one of your friends not to swear in front of your wife? If so, then yea, maybe it really is just a difference in culture as swearing is more normalised here (im irish, not UK), if not then maybe treat your adult child as an adult. Just my thoughts anyway, from my point of view, as much as i love your reactions i am surprised at how strict your household sounds. Different cultures :)

Blink More

Mikes react to this is the best one I’ve seen and I’ve watched a lot of reactions to this. Please get Stephen and Taylor to watch this.

carl rowland

So sorry I reacted

RegenerationNationTV

Also quite funny that Mike went straight to anal when really Neil is just an idiot. Like, he's portrayed as an idiot and unintelligent but when saying 'out her arse'. Mike thinks anal for some reason.

Karlos

Missing the Udders/Others "Yeah there were loads of them" joke in Jay's story was criminal. and "this dude has bowel problems" yes, he has IBS

Karlos

Simon's car was fine. I checked the licence plate. It's still on the road today. It failed a couple MOTs, but the problems were fixed. It had a problem with a front brake, and the driver's side windshield wiper needed to be fixed. Surprising they left it so long, cus if you look at season 1, episode 3, where Donovan spits lucozade on the windshield, the driver's side wiper was kinda sketchy even then. I dunno who owns it, but it's still out there. There are also a few yellow Fiat Cinquecento Hawaii's that people have deliberately put red doors on, or sprayed the passenger door red. But the one in the show wasn't using fake plates, so it's a real car with a real owner and a real MOT history. I dunno if they auctioned it for charity, decided to sell it, or someone just contacted the producers, wanting to buy it.

Haverford West

Jesus mike calm down its a comedy series, annoying listen to you go on a rant about him being such a bad friend when its meant to be funny

Ted Barrett

Please Phoneshop after the films, Simons dad is even funnier in it

ybriK

Oh Lord, that was an entertaining 52 minutes, from Mike's Guide to Parenting, being a drama llama and losing his shit, to pissy pants in the sleeping bag. Loved the finale reaction so much. A great end to a great series and you guys have made this so much fun, we have all had such a great ride rewatching this. Thank you friends :)

Brucey Mitchell (Cheeky)

Use need to react to Friday night dinner after the movies it has wills actor in and it is a very funny show

Jack Newton

Completely agree! It's brilliantly funny in the inbetweeners style mixed in with a great soundtrack in 80's Britain! I feel White Gold didn't get the attention it deserved because it was on late night on BBC2

Matt Harwood

love the hairstyle Jess

kieran brown

Would be great to see, they would love that too

Central Hub

Pls react too Friday night dinner I beg 😂 if u can

Reece Mccarthy

So glad you enjoyed this series. Definitely my favorite show ever and a very important as well

Juan

That is a spoiler bro, just don't say anything at all. They already said they're going to watch the films

Doghole

One thing most people miss the first time around is when Will says 'Udders' and Jay responds...'yeah there were loads of them.' hahaha

Bobby K

Can’t wait to see the in etweeners movie reactions 💕💕

morgan

I don't know, i feel like it was a great send off, it would've felt very weird if it were anything more grand or final feeling, we got a few sweet moments like Neil saying he worries about Will.

Mark Crook

I think one of the many reasons the UK version worked so well and the American version didin't, is the UK version really felt like it was four real UK teenagers doing real things, the American version, and i may be wrong here as i've never been to an American school, felt very much like a tv show with actors performing. They also did that thing of trying to copy it too closely, like the US office did with series 1, rather than make it fit an American style/audiance better, like US office did from series 2 onwards.

Mark Crook

Dan Anderson

Films next 🤣

Dan Anderson

Extras and Life’s too Short next please

Gary Hall

I can't wait for the movies, they are both so good!

Tom Morrish

definitely need to react to Friday Night Dinner

Toby M

I know, I was praying they'd skip back.

Static CentreHalf

Love the hair!

Magnet Hand

They mention the movies quite a few times, they know.

Karlos

Hi There guys. There were a few movies made too. It's not totally over. 🤠😎

New Fish

With their kids? Cmon now it’s not one of them shows unless they’re older.

Josh Skrtt

It would be great to see a re reaction with them watching The Inbetweeners on here, excellent to watch!

Central Hub

I'd love to watch the reaction of you watching it with your kids. This is the first time I've watched it and my daughter told me she has watched it. It would be so awkward to watch it together (she's not long turned 16)

Rayne

White gold is an amazing series which has Simon and Jay in, selling double glazing windows it's vert funny, pretty sure it's on netfkix

david mitchell

I appreciate the episode being what it was, in the sense it got Mike up and had the same humour it always has! It would have felt weird if they tried to redeem people in this episode and would have felt strange in my opinion

Orla Davies

If you're going to miss Will you need to watch Friday Night Dinner. 😀

Thomas Birch

glad you enjoyed cant wait for movies!

Rhys Fletcher

ngl.. Was pretty disappointed with this episode as it's the last ever episode

afrochuck

Lol all the Americans miss the udders joke.. And it's fucking brilliant

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

Omg can't wait for you to see the movies 🎥💪🏻 Thanks for the reactions

matty town

That first movie is one of the funniest things ever

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

Yes, as mentioned before make sure you watch the uncut version of the film for the added extras 👍🏻

Craig

You should check out the few clips of the show with sign language for the deaf.

Len's Flares

The first Film is great...the second, sort of spoiled the legacy, for me...

Karl Devereux

Ahh I just commented this too! Yeah it’s an amazing joke but every single reactor always seems to miss it or it goes over their heads!

Callum Is Raving

Mikes reaction to axe wound 😂. Great reaction guys. Bring on the movies!

Paul Archibald

14:45 that “udders” “well yeah, there were loads of them” always gets missed or goes over everyone’s head which is a shame because it’s a fantastic joke

Callum Is Raving

Mike at the keys part 🤣🤣🤣

Stewart Hainey

Movies next please!!!!

Jack

Hey quick question? When's the next inbetweeners?

Stephen

Ok, who else tried to turn off the subtitles....... :D

Len's Flares

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but there’s a version of the 1st movie with extra scenes but it’s not the one most people end up reacting to so might be difficult to find. It’s worth it if you can find it.

Bryn Hargreaves

the thing about British comedies is it never ends with a happy ending and the last episode is usually always the most tragic or sad lol great reaction. Loved it

Demceez

I'm pretty sure there's a special called the road trip or something along those lines. It's the actors riding around in Simons car talking about the show etc

Anthony Fisher

I think they specifically mentioned splitting it for YouTube, not here?

Mark McKeown

Neil (Blake Harrison) has his own MMA podcast on YouTube called "MMAfanshow" worth a listen if you're into MMA it's not professional show by all accounts but a decent listen too

Danny Murray

You missed the best joke of all 3 seasons. "They stood up on their hind legs and started firing milk at me from their tits." "Udders." (misheard by Jay as, "Others?") "Yeah, there were loads of them."

Tro Janors

yes definitely watch that, its really good

wildranger5

FYI !! In the First movie Will's Dad is played by Carly's real dad Anthony Head (British Actor)

Rainex 2019

They’ve definitely said that whenever a show has movies or specials at the end they will do them straight away.

Julian

This is the episode that is most relatable to me. We once went camping, got drunk, set our mates tent on fire, got more drunk, chundered, and walked home through country lanes at like 3am when me and my mates were kids.

Joe

wow i cant believe you're already at the end of the series - been class!

Shuayb

please dont split the film on patreon and no live just do what you do . its much better

fpvxart

I'm not sure if you would have access to it, but if you can, you should watch Taskmaster. Even if you don't film your reactions, I think it's worth you checking it out. Greg Davies is the taskmaster in every series, and in each series, 5 comedians/comedic actors are set crazy/ridiculous tasks to complete, after which Greg scores them. It's a pretty simple premise, but hilarity usually ensues. Joe Thomas was in series 8, and some of the comedians you guys have reacted to are in other series too.

Cara

Definitely watch at least the first movie before you do any livestream, it’s very much a continuation

Kieran B

Im Welsh and i live in Swansea haha!

Tomogochi

They need Karl Pilkington’s toilet chair

Kieran B

"Udders?" ... "Yeah there were loads of them"

Jamie

The movies count as episodes of series 3… 😄

Kieran B

going to hazard a guess that it will be next season of still game next and then the movies

Malcom Kumar

Please watch Friday Night Dinner! You will love Simon Bird in that too!!!

Liam Bugden

You think Neils bowels are bad? Just wait until the second movie :D

Jack Veazey

You shouldn't need to split the movies for Patreon, other reactors havn't done so.

Jon

The questions are 1. Are we going to have to wait 6 weeks to watch the movies reactions and 2. will they be one reaction on Patreon and split on YouTube?

Sean Riley

The natural progression is watching the movies now

Jonathan Coyne

Mike was disgusted at Jay 🤣 Would love to see you guys react to all the relevant side bits about the Inbetweeners (Jay's podcast episode with Simon, tv interviews, deleted scenes from the show and then after you've seen both the movies, the deleted scenes from both of the movies etc....So glad you both enjoyed the masterpiece that is The Inbetweeners...my favourite TV show of all time. So excited to watch the reactions to the movies. I really hope the movie reactions come very, very soon.

Niall Watson

Peep Show next :)

Richiep

The inbetweeners Movie next!!!!

Chrisatan

i started watching your reaction to the inbetweeners when i was in my uni room, bored, with nothing to do, fast forward to a few episodes in and i was refreshing your page for the upload even if i had plans haha. Safe to say i have thoroughly enjoyed these reactions, bring on the movies!

Orla Davies

Peep Show & Bottom are a must

Inter Malager

Brilliant send off for the show - I loved watching it again with you both!

Chris Strevens

You're going to love the movies

Hex

Movies ASAP!!

Mr Matthews

Phoenix Nights is classic.. I don't think I've ever seen a reaction to that

Paul08031977

I second that. For me, the Dad in Friday Night Dinner steals it every time.

Paul08031977

Can we get the movies asap ;)

Richiep

Whoa there! My wife's from Swansea and she must've missed that memo! That being said, Wind Street on a weekend ... not far off!

Paul08031977

The Inbetweeners is such an iconic show. You can watch the series over and over again and it still feels new. It’s been great watching you guys react to it. The Inbetweeners series? Completed it mate 😂👍🏽

Niile Creary

Just to confirm, I'm from Swansea and all the girls around here are filth, so Jay is correct on this one 😉

Bikeaholic

That scene with his dad in the bathroom had me crying laughing the first time I saw it.

Michael K

Mike and Jess, for a Greg Davies show, 'Man Down' is a must, where he again plays a teacher but who's a complete loser, the opposite of Mr Gilbert

Fordy7169

Mike and Jess, down the line maybe watch Simon Bird (Will) in Friday Night Dinner, there's that '2 immature adult brothers having to visit their parents' dynamic.

Fordy7169

Mike having flashbacks to his teenage years LOL,. yes teenage mates/boys can be complete twats.

Fordy7169

still so many great shows to watch . friday night dinner, peep show, the it crowd, peter keys pheonix nights . all are great

mark

I'd prefer to see you do something like Phoenix Nights/Car Share (Peter Kay) or Blackadder/Young Ones as a change up before moving on to Friday Night Dinner and Extras. Give Simon Bird and Gervais a break for a couple of months as the humour could wear a bit thin. Maybe even try something less slapstick, but absolutely exquisite like The Detectorists?

RDV

love that Jess can say twat correctly :D 90% of Americans say , twot for absolutely no reason lol.

TheHigh

Sad it's over, but there's still two great movies to come. On a more serious (and boring) note, there's something that has rarely been touched upon in any reaction or by anyone commenting. This episode really does show Jay's history to be devastatingly sad. Apart from being verbally abused by his Dad throughout the series, the episode touches upon Jay being molested by his weird next door neighbour as a kid, as well as the revelation that Jay was sent to therapy when he was younger, possibly due to what happened with his neighbour. It's easy to laugh it off during the series, but it explains some of Jay's behaviour, especially the compulsive lying. In a previous series you also see how much Jay is a caring and kind person, when he's with that girl he really likes. So it shows that the lying and over confident behaviour is a complete front for his insecurities. It really is brilliant character development, that somehow gets lost in the comedy.

Jay

Thanks chaps for going through this superb comedy. This is worth watching. The actors in their Thirties going back to the school: https://youtu.be/K5NVuPLwuzY

Dave Henshall

great reaction guys , cant wait for the movies :D and yup agree with other commenter extra's and peep show and the ITcrowd is a absolute must. while Friday night dinner is ok and ive seen the whole show multiple times , it just is not in the same league as these mentioned , not even close , in any capacity. have a good one.

TheHigh

no bears in the UK, so no need to bury it i guess.

Custard

Derry Girls is the closest thing

SquaredSpekz

Absolutely amazing that Jay finally made Mike storm off with stress and anger , loved it haha

Daz Parker

W

Dkon Yt

Yeah , PEEP SHOW and EXTRAS next please!!!

Dandelion

Hope you guys watch Peep Show now. It's the best ever comdey show.

Dandelion

So sad that this is over. Cannot wait to watch you guys watch the movies. 1st one is better but both are great.

Alex Whitworth

Friday Night Dinner. This simply must be your next go to. No votes lol, that's it hahaha. 'Will' is in it so you can continue watching him. Such a great show with a tremendous cast and the writing is evident immediately. This must be done.

Matthew

No one give any spoilers for the movies please and thank you

RJ

My most memorable nature poop was in the Indian Ocean, so far from the shoreline off Goa they had to send a boat out to pick me up (currents and such, I started to really drift out into the wild ocean). I just wanted to get so far out that it would not float inwards, ahh, to be an idiot teen again =D =D =D

Christopher Bergren

Friday Night Dinner will be a good watch, as Simon Bird is great in that as well. along with Paul Ritter and Mark Heap.

Mark

Looking forward to the movie reactions

Mark

Carly back in the movie …… resolves it

SimonNZ

Can I just say, prepare yourself for the lack of redeemable characters in British comedy. XD

Wilss

White Gold is BRILLIANT!! I feel like a lot of people missed it because it was on late on BBC2 but it's quality!! 👍

Matt Harwood

I just realized that I should have used VLC Players slow-motion feature to actually get the full content of all the jabbering they have early mornings in school Will rewatch the whole series with all those hilarious morning-"discussions" at 50% speed. There is a lot of English slang here and there I still have to google at times to get =D <3 (Twat I am)

Christopher Bergren

It's been such a fun journey watching you both watch all of these. I hope you come back for the movies! I think we're all in agreement though that we'll miss this series, I cant believe they only ever did three of them.

The Snow Dog

Friday night dinner and white gold are good

Kevin

He said 2 parts on Youtube, so maybe the full thing will be on here.

Wilss

Man down is terrible

Richiep

If you’re doing the movies in two parts, will those parts be posted together? Surely pointless stopping mid movie

Bobby

Is your plan to watch a full season of something else and then come back to the movies or do the movies first ?

josh Conroy

That was fun, well done guys. For more Greg Davies, there’s a show called Man Down which you’ll love. Imagine Greg as an adult version of an Inbetweener. For more Simon Bird (Will), Friday Night Dinner is one of my favourites.

Julian

Can't believe we're at the end already 😪 It's been amazing (and hilarious!) watching you enjoy one of my favourite shows. I know it wasn't always easy with all the copyright strikes you had to deal with, but every single notification made my day, I'm glad you persevered and got through to the end, thank you for all your hardwork bringing us this series!

Human#19138980

Mike mentioned he was interested in what the actors were actually like. You should react to all the bloopers/outtakes for each season. They are all on Youtube.

NameJeff

movie soon pls

John Davis

I was a uni student when The Inbetweeners first aired and now I'm kicking the arse off 40, and this is the second episode in a row they've made a jibe about 40s being old and past it. I still agree with them...

Andy

Neil with the fire and Jay with the car makes it my least fav. Looking forward to the movies.

emu cat

Time for the movie next please!

Jordan Candlish

I just finished streaming this for my American friends on discord. I will say though, I have never enjoyed it as much as watching it with you guys. Can't wait for the movie.

Dan Padgett

The dumbest thing I ever did as a teenager was pissing in the fuel tank of my mate’s motorbike while we were at a party in a remote village, and forgetting that he was giving me a lift home. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thomas

Thank you Mike & Jess, it's been an absolute joy watching this with you. I can pay no higher compliment than to say you've made them even funnier. And I didn't think that was possible.

Static CentreHalf

I know this is tongue in cheek 🤣 not biting 🤣🤣

Jay Lo

Jay is right though, it is grim up north 🧨🤣

Thomas

Im so sad! I’ve seen the show a thousand times but was really enjoying watching you guys watch it. There’s people in England that slag this show off for being shit and unfunny. I just don’t get it. It should’ve won every award going. Absolutely masterpiece in my opinion. Glad you enjoyed it

Dave Whatt

Bad timing to finish this and Fawlty Towers at the same time! Btw there are no bears in the UK 😂

Rachie

i always thought this episode was an abrupt ending to the inbetweeners! the movie is pretty much the direct sequel to the end of the tv series, so make sure it's scheduled in for sometime soon!

Watwhy

Loved watching the three series with you both. I seriously wouldn’t bother doing so with any other reactors. A great way to mark the end of your Inbetweeners journey would be to now compare the comedy version of an English high school with the real thing. Check out this trailer for Education Yorkshire and I am sure you will agree with me that the kids and the staff are not so far removed from the show. Then, maybe, watch one episode of Educating Yorkshire as one-off (perhaps in the Wednesday Education slot). There are eight episodes, which are all self contained so you don’t have to commit to the full series. It would be an interesting exercise for you both, and for your subscribers. https://youtu.be/8NQGPVv1wDU?si=SLxDLs-btclfsp5u

Thomas

Everyone tells them to watch Friday night dinner (which is good) but White Gold is brilliant!! Another show I can watch over and over again! 👍

Matt Harwood

Better the slag stereotype than the sheepshagging one, I think

Christian Rolfe

The actor who plays Will (Simon Bird) his in “Friday Night Dinner” series which is well worth reacting too

FatSam25

Sad times 3 of the best series is over idiot abroad, Fawlty Towers and inbetweeners 😢

FatSam25

It’s been great following your journey watching the inbetweeners hopefully you watch it with your sons and experience what we have seeing their reactions can’t wait for the movies

Corey

Mike's brain exploding is the furnishing I've ever seen 🤣🤣🤣 My girlfriend is Welsh and I can confirm Jay is taking nonsense again. Shortly after my sister got her first car, I took her keys without her knowing. I drove her car around the corner and made her think someone had stolen it. She was not a happy woman 🤣

Josh Read

I’ve loved rewatching the inbetweeners with you guys and your amazing reactions, thank you!! Sad it’s over but looking forward to the movies and excited to see the next series you react to whatever it may be!

Sinclair Brechin 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The movies are like one big episode, done well. And so accurate to lads holiday

Gsmith

There’s White Gold and Friday Night Dinner too if you want more of the same cast (separately), White Gold is by the same two writers / creators too. Also Fresh Meat which is sort of Simon at University

Kieran B

Hey you should watch in 1 go and split it into 2 if needed, rather than watching it in multiple sittings for each reaction. Best to have it all fresh in your mind :)

Jamie Derry

It would be great to see you reacting to Taskmaster at some point. I think you would really enjoy it.

Daniel

I still haven't seen the 2 movies, so I will see them when you see them.... so hurry up🤣

Chris Horsfield

It’s not over yet, you’ll love the film that comes next

Kieran B

God bless us, everyone!

Spencer Chou

Hope we can get a film reaction, the first one is there real send off to uni (your college)

Dec

Agreed, if they’re up for it. After a while tho of course. King boomer did the same and it got just as many views as their first time reaction, we can’t get enough of if

RJ

You'll have to watch them all again, it's a series that you just never get bored of! Now it's all done - what was your favorite episode?

Matt Harwood

Will you guys be watching the movies?

Justus

Im welsh my wife is welsh i can neither confirm or deny without catching fists 👊 🤣

Steven Wheelhouse

About bloody time! 😂
