It's already sliced up pretty significantly and leaking vital fluids from the massive holes Axel put in it...but why not serve it a massive coup de grâce to make its descendents shiver in fear that Axel will come chop them up into calamari 😜

I'm glad that next chapter will have a Davos PoV as promised by Cam, cause I can jsut imagine what the poor man was thinking when his King went cowabunga into the sea. "...How in the Seven Hells am I going to explain THIS to Lord Stannis?!" Of course, when he has a chance to talk to Axel, I think Davos' respect and faith in him will increase. Davos: "Your Grace, may I ask what in the name of the Seven you were thinking?" Axel: "That it was coming for me and I wasn't going to allow the men of this ship to die when I could meet it head on." Davos: "...Understood and appreciated, your Grace." Inner Davos: He considers the common sailor even before his own self. No wonder the Seven have blessed him with their power so.

A lot like I thought it would with the kraken forcing Axel to learn how to fly, only I thought it would more happen out of necessity because he couldn't escape the water due to the kraken, not because he yeets out of it and basically forgets to fall back down. I do like the explanation though that he basically 'kept swimming' from his perspective when he entered the air, and it was only after being underwater in that high-stakes environment that he realizes he can do it a hell of a lot more effectively than he realized. Now then. Axel suplexing the kraken, please. I want to see him whip that damn thing around over his head.
