You've just got to watch the outtakes of the Office - they're so good!

2025-08-12 22:31:46 +0000 UTCOne of my favourite parts is Brent saying "I for one believe her" regarding the Dildo.

2025-08-11 12:48:27 +0000 UTC“I know who I’d rather wake up with” is when Neil lost me. Does he not know Stevie Nicks? 😦

2025-07-02 21:15:02 +0000 UTCDefamation is a thing here but not really. Anyone who did it because of a comedy like this would end their career.

2025-07-02 19:22:32 +0000 UTCAnd don't forget the bloopers!

2025-07-02 14:36:02 +0000 UTCLoved the shocked reaction at the end 🤣

2025-07-02 14:33:29 +0000 UTCI have a feeling the Top Trumps bit was mostly written by Stephen

2025-07-02 13:53:06 +0000 UTCTim is very much a typical British bloke in many ways
Kieran B
2025-07-02 13:37:33 +0000 UTCTom Goodman-Hill who plays the chap from the public speaking company is fantastic

2025-07-02 13:31:30 +0000 UTCIf was funny to see this after you thought Rachel was dressed immodestly for an office last time - this sort of thing was entirely normal in plenty of offices even 10 years ago speaking from experience (and in massive companies not just small ones)
Kieran B
2025-07-02 13:05:01 +0000 UTCYou guys HAVE to check out the bloopers/outtakes when you've finished them all.

2025-07-02 12:41:16 +0000 UTCIf anything I would say that David Brent is a good guy compared to someone like Finch. Brent is really just a very insecure man that wants to be loved and does dumb things hoping that will work. Someone like Finch however is just a horrible person that only really cares about himself.

2025-07-02 12:37:04 +0000 UTCThe first time the post credit scene actually added anything for me. Brilliant vid guys!

2025-07-02 10:33:31 +0000 UTCUnlikely as this is what made Ricky famous, Rory Bremner is hardly likely to be doing impressions of people who people hardly knew at that point
William Stewart
2025-07-02 10:31:56 +0000 UTCI think that might be my favourite episode. I’m crying over here 🤣

2025-07-02 09:53:52 +0000 UTCYou worked at a dildo factory? 😂😂😂

2025-07-02 09:51:41 +0000 UTCJust a heads up, don't leave a gap between season 2 and the Christmas Specials. They are essentially a conclusion to the show and not their own season. It's better to think of them as an extension of season 2 as they are only two episodes, don't think it would work so well if you left a chunk of time between them. Great reactions!

2025-07-02 08:47:57 +0000 UTCThat was so cringe when the new girl had her tongue out when she was writing down what Gareth had to say . I nearly threw up 🤣. She irritates me as much as she irritates Dawn haha

2025-07-02 08:19:07 +0000 UTCBrilliant reaction guys. 🤣

2025-07-02 08:07:05 +0000 UTCThat was a little joke because Rory Did do an impression of Ricky in front of him?And it was really funny , and I think that was ricky's little nod to that
Fred bates
2025-07-02 04:40:15 +0000 UTCTheir shocked faces at the end credit scene, lmao
Jamie Derry
2025-07-02 02:00:58 +0000 UTCI always forget about the David Brent movie, since it was like 15 years later and more of a side story
Danny
2025-07-02 01:15:12 +0000 UTCLol that post credit scene was actually the last scene filmed in the series
Danny
2025-07-02 01:10:12 +0000 UTCLove the ‘behind the scenes’ scene at the end. Was that your own end credits scene? Yes, after this season there is a two part Christmas special. There is also a David Brent movie.

2025-07-01 22:31:08 +0000 UTCTotally agree. Trudie doesn't like David and even if we can understand why she doesn't like him, it still negates the whole "she was just messing" argument. She insulted him, twice. He actually ignored it the first time but bit back the second time. David can be a d**k of course, but as you say, Trudie started it! If she were actually friends or even just quite fond of David, it might have been construed as good ol' British banter. We're a thick skinned bunch and taking the p**s out of each other is commonplace in the UK, but you can tell from how the scene was performed, Trudie already established as not liking David, and just her tone of voice, that it wasn't banter and she was just being unpleasant.
Ash Jeffries
2025-07-01 22:23:18 +0000 UTCTotal fair play by Mr Brent. It is called equality. 🤣
David Broome
2025-07-01 22:18:12 +0000 UTCDavid Brent movies first?

2025-07-01 22:09:56 +0000 UTCReally enjoying these reactions, guys! David was pretty unbearable in this episode and the scenes of the Swindon lot dumbfounded and not knowing what to say in this episode were fair enough. Not the same as his *genuine* attempt at team bonding at the pub in the last episode. This time he was just trying to show off. David isn't a one-track character with a single agenda. He's written in a more nuanced way than that. He was a d**k at several points in this episode because he can certainly be a d**k but I will defend him if I don't think he's in the wrong in any given scene. The "birthday girl" here has made her dislike of David clear from the outset. She deliberately misses him out when handing out kisses at her party, *not* to be professional, but because she doesn't like him. That in itself is probably fair enough. You don't kiss someone you don't like. However, with this in mind, she really wasn't just messing with him here: Trudie: Born in the '40s, more like! (she doesn't like him or know him well enough for that to be "just messing". It's just a plain rude and unpleasant insult given we know she doesn't like him. Note, he doesn't bite back and lets the insult go) David: No, I'm in my 30s. Trudie: Yeah, but you've let yourself go a bit haven't you? David: I've let myself go? Look at you, you're an embarrassment. (He wasn't going to let it go a second time!) Trudie doesn't *have* to like David and his whole reason for talking to her at that moment was total BS that she has every right to take no notice of, but she wasn't messing. She insulted him and the insult he returned was pretty justified. I can't defend David with a lot of what he does and I wouldn't do either. He has problems and he's an eejit, but almost every other character in The Office is pretty flawed too, some quite deeply flawed. It's not a question of David being the only idiot surrounded by level headed, "ordinary" people. Ordinary people generally aren't all that level headed and David may wear his flaws more visibly on his sleeve, but what's so wonderful about The Office is how nuanced and subtle the writing is, and how nothing is all that black and white. I do think this becomes more apparent as you continue to watch, and on rewatch, and the focus on David and his shortcomings is fairly normal on a first viewing.

2025-07-01 22:04:13 +0000 UTCI was a bit of a latecomer to The Office, this was the first episode I saw. That was nearly 23 years ago. Who knows where the time goes, etc.
Charlie
2025-07-01 22:00:00 +0000 UTCHe'll have bought it in a mostly indoor market called The Village which was full of purveyors of rubbish fashion like t-shirts that said "NEW YORK" or "JEANS" on them and stuff, and dodgy piercing places patronised by teenagers who weren't old enough to get them done at a proper studio. It also boasted a shop that bought and sold vintage video games and machines, although back then they weren't vintage, they were just old, previous generation games. It moved premises some years ago and I think most of the old shops have been replaced with those shitty mobile phone accessory/"repair" places. The early 2000s, what a time to be alive.
Charlie
2025-07-01 21:52:53 +0000 UTCNot to defend David Brent too much... but... why was it ok for her to say he's let himself go a bit first? All for defending us females but she dished it out..

2025-07-01 21:39:05 +0000 UTCGreat to see you guys dropping my 3 favourite reactions (The Office, The Inbetweeners and Fawlty Towers) in one day and especially after all the trauma of the car accident. Thanks Jess and Mike, you rock 🤘🤘🤘

2025-07-01 21:21:58 +0000 UTCAs soon as the end credits came up, I couldn't wait to see your reaction to the final scene - your reactions were excellent! Ha! Ha! xxx

2025-07-01 21:18:23 +0000 UTCThey did, Mike said it Jay's dad tbf! and Jess said he's just as despicable in this show lol

2025-07-01 21:13:31 +0000 UTCAnd was then given a life peerage as reward for services to Boris Johnson, not that he turns up to the House of Lords very often. Not many public figures I'm quite so ambivalent towards as Beefy.

2025-07-01 20:54:05 +0000 UTCRe. Brent's fantasy lunch companions - Rory Bremner is a comedic impressionist. I assume you know who MLK and the Dalai Lama are, LOL

2025-07-01 20:42:54 +0000 UTC“Rocking up” with a bit about Ian Botham. Maverick England Cricket captain who had his problems with the law. Set all sorts of records on the pitch and began a series of epic walks for children suffering from leukaemia. The walks were from the most northerly part of Scotland to the most southerly tip of England. Was awarded a knighthood for his charitable work and cricketing endeavours.

2025-07-01 20:40:55 +0000 UTCGuys like Tim and Jim have other desirable qualities. Because they aren't 'tough' and don't ooze masculinity, they have had to develop a sense of humour. Not 'wackiness', but a quiet, dry, fun sense of humour that a certain type of woman goes for.
