The Ironborn conundrum. Can't say I find the odds of Asha succeeding as Lady Reaper particularly likely even with (or perhaps in spite of) Axel's support. Not because I don't think she could hold her own but due to history and circumstance. There's too much bad blood, there isn't really any type of sustainable living to be had there without trade or plunder and both those options aren't really on the table and finally the probably resentment of the situation is going to be pointed Asha's way. Tough one.

2025-07-31 17:03:21 +0000 UTCI really can't wait to see how Axel is going to solve the bigger issue of the Ironborn culture and how it has no place in a peaceful world...their entire mentality of pillaging and slavery as a way to survive on islands that have barely any arable land is just asking to have the Ironborn erased from existence in a bit of karmic justice, as their own Iron Price is applied. Personally, I hope for a path where the Ironborn are allowed to harness their so-called skills on behalf of the Seven Kingdoms...but anything they reave is considered Royal property and will bre redistributed as Axel or whomever he deems his governor for the Ironborn Islands sees fit. Certainty would encourage them to start learning how to legally obtain things or develop other skills to allow for open trade.
