Monday Comedy Reaction Poll for June 2nd 🎭

Hey friends!

It’s time to vote for our Monday comedy reaction!

This week, we’ve brought back the runner-up from last week and paired it with four fresh options.

Also, exciting news! YouTube has brought back the ability to upvote and downvote videos in the collaborative playlists! The more you all use that feature, the easier it’ll be for us to lock in what the community actually wants to see. Eventually, we may even pull the top-rated videos directly from the playlist each week to create the polls.

Whatever wins will be reacted to and uploaded on Monday, June 2nd.

If you want to check out any of the options before voting, copy and paste the video titles into YouTube, and they’ll pop right up!

Thanks for being part of this; your input really shapes what we do. 💚💜

Context for Alan Partridge - If you like awkwardness (Jess does See David Brent) here's a primer for Alan. Alan Partridge's humor is built on excruciating awkwardness and delusional self-importance. He's a failed TV presenter who desperately clings to his minor celebrity status while being completely oblivious to how others perceive him. The comedy comes from his relentless need to impress people with fabricated stories about meeting celebrities, his misguided attempts at sophistication (like pronouncing foreign words incorrectly), and his ability to turn any conversation into an uncomfortable situation through sheer social ineptitude. He's simultaneously pitiful and insufferable - you cringe at his behavior while recognizing uncomfortably familiar traits. His references are often hilariously dated or obscure, revealing someone stuck in the past trying to seem relevant. The humor is very much about watching someone fail spectacularly at basic human interaction while remaining convinced they're charming and successful. It's the kind of comedy that makes you physically uncomfortable because it feels so real - we've all met someone like Alan, or worried we might be a bit like him ourselves. The genius is in how Steve Coogan makes him specific enough to be believable while extreme enough to be funny rather than just depressing. The show mines comedy from everyday British situations - radio presenting, hotel stays, business meetings - and shows how someone with zero self-awareness can make every interaction a small disaster.

I don't 'expect' the Spanish Inquisition to win.
