For the last two days I have been running with one of my dogs at the vet.
Yesterday I spent half a day at the vet and today I spent the whole day.
It's a type of public animal hospital. Many tests were carried out today and fluid was also drained from the chest cavity. At the end of the day, the exam discovered that in addition to having pneumonia, he also has worms in his heart transmitted by a mosquito and that is what is causing him to have fluid in his chest cavity.
The worst thing is that if this mosquito bites him and then the other dogs and even me, this disease can be transmitted. It is a disease that previously only existed in coastal regions, but now it is coming to the capital as well.
The name of the disease is "Dirofilariose". Who knows, maybe there is a veterinarian among my patrons!?
As i leaves the hospital at 9pm. I couldn't buy the medicines on the way. Tomorrow I'll have to go back close to the center to go to a pet pharmacy and buy the medicine, I think I can do it in half a day.
The good news is that the disease appears to be treatable, although it takes a long time, around a year. I just don't know if PaiMei will survive since he is my oldest dog (12 years old) here and is very weakened by the disease.
