It would be comical if it were not tragic. 😏
Maybe another artist wouldn't say anything, and would spend a day or two without publishing anything...
I don't condemn or judge anyone like that, but I can't, I always prefer to tell the truth even if it runs the risk of not appearing professional enough in the eyes of the most demanding or anything like that.
Since when I built my first PC for 3d, the old one. I use a 26', Ultrawide IPS, 2k monitor from LG. It's a very simple and cheap monitor, but it has good quality for work. I must have been using it straight for over five years. Unfortunately, on Saturday after lunch, it suddenly turned off and no longer worked.
I thought it could be the monitor's power supply, but after taking the power supply to a technician for testing, he found that the power supply was intact.
I researched and found that many people have had the same problem with this type of monitor. It appears to be an LG design issue. They say there is a plate inside that needs to be insulated with electrical tape. They do and teach this on Youtube and dozens of people have reported having success repairing their monitors.
Conclusion: There I was, Saturday at 3 am dismantling my monitor. Unfortunately in my case it didn't work. (See photo)
Today I bought one just like it and it was at a great price. But it will still take a few days to arrive.
I didn't say anything to you before because I really thought the problem was the monitor's power supply and that I would solve it quickly. But this last illustration I published, I did it all on a horrible TV, resolution of 1680x1050, horrible colors and everything was gridded because the TV is big, etc... It was impossible for me to do the final effects and it was also very late and I was exhausted. I have no way of knowing how the colors came out in the last illustration, but I did the best I could with what I had here.
As I said before, I already bought a new monitor and it is already on its way. In the meantime, I'm going to try to do something on this prehistoric TV I have here.
I've already spent over $10,000 on the new PC, USP, etc... just a few days ago it was HDDS and now the monitor. I still need to buy the Power Generator and certainly a few more things. But it doesn't matter, it hasn't been easy, but I will never give up. The only difference between those who succeed and those who fail is that those who succeed did not give up. And I promise all of you to support me despite all the setbacks. I fought hard to achieve quality, respected and recognized work and I won't stop until BDC is working well and with stability. My personal life is improving a lot and so is my work, there are just a few details missing on the technical side. And I'm sure that in the very near future, with your fundamental support, I will be producing work that you all deserve.
Thank you all so much for your support and understanding.🥰
