I never did like the canon version of the silver eyes power. It just seemed so... cliche. And not fleshed out. It didn't seem at all interesting.

2025-05-21 17:06:01 +0000 UTCI think I remember something about incarcerated Grimm dispersing after a while but maybe that was head cannon? Also I've always thought the Silver Eyes activate like a Sharingan since Ruby activated hers after seeing Pyrrah die.

2025-05-20 22:19:36 +0000 UTCFrom what the little the show talked about it the Silver Eyes in RWBY is literally the Power of Friendship/Love or based on wanting to defend others. Ruby activates her eyes during the Battle of Beacon and utterly obliterates the Grimm/petrifies the Wyvern after finding Pyrrha dying. Maria does the same to a Giant Nevermore while journeying between settlements but she is a woman grown during that scene. I personally think we'll get it eventually but Cole might be a bit to jaded for now. He is not Ruby and is only just getting settled in Beacon.

2025-05-20 21:17:44 +0000 UTC....the only thing we had was Ruby herself. Best guess? it's trauma of loss. Or memories of wanting to protect something when she actively used them in V6. (As each time before that was instinctive reaction) Honestly she never used them that much.
