If not, I guarantee you would love her, given your love of great, soulful singers of the 60s. Her best and most famous album is Dusty In Memphis, recorded there because she was such an admirer of the great American soul singers. Unusually, maybe, for a white British woman, she was equally admired by US soul singers and became famous on your side of the pond with Son of a Preacher Man. I'll see if I can find a link on YouTube to the fabulous documentary I saw on the making of that album.
