Having spent some time in the US and well, being a bit of a piss head. The breakdown of 80 being 2 40s I don't think carried across. To me, he was making a joke about 40s, as in, 40 ounce of malt liquor. They don't sell that here in the UK and we don't have a serving size of a 40. Drinking a 40 would mean nothing to a brit. So when he says it's 2 40s, that's what I think he was playing on. Which Russell took as the literal sense of 80/2.
