The Best Christmas Ads of 2024!

Comments

Great Reactions as always, Tesco is the UK's largest supermarket and yes that was the Gorillaz, On Melancholy Hill on the ad and Asda is another big supermarket and is owned by Walmart.

Matt Hardy

Asda in the UK is owned by the same people who own Walmart, so Asda is basically our Walmart, it sells a bit of everything

Great reaction guys and I defo recommend vicar of dibly with dawn French. One advert you are missing out on tho is Edgar the dragon which was done jointly by John Lewis and Waitrose. It’s not to be missed. Much love from πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Mark Sanders

The name of the Christmas pudding that was on fire will be very easy to remember - it's literally called "Christmas Pudding"

James Hadden

This got me reminiscing, both were great shows. Time to dig out a few episodes, thanks for the reminder.

Lovely reaction, i have seen some of these on Disney. Asda and Tesco were the huge supermarkets for years. Tesco spent a fortune blocking Asda from building new stores, they were so greedy to capture the market. Asda was owned by WalMart for a number of years too. What with the cost of living now, the market share seems to belong to them all equally, Sainsbury, Morrisons, Aldi etc. The Mystery Pudding thief ad is full of celebs, one being Joe Wilkinson (a great friend of Karl and Ricky), well worth watching him on a show called 8 out of 10 cats does countdown. As for that pudding, Jess, i am with you all the way i LOOOOVVEEE Red Velvet Cake, i think i might treat myself to the Bauble Desert for Christmas Day lol, i hope you guys manage to get some too. Thanks guys, your joy and tears are so infectious :)

The actress with the good fairy in the M&S ad is Dawn French. She’s one of the UK’s top comedy actresses, most famous for her series Vicar of Dibley (highly recommended) and her sketch (skit) show French and Saunders with long-term collaborator Jennifer Saunders. The latter is also very funny, often poking fun at British life with lashings of cringe (which Brits just love).
