Jonathan lomu funeral haka emotional to watch ,,one of the greatest rugby players to grace the earth

Each Rugby team has to applaud the other before leaving, there’s a huge emphasis on respect in the game. Have you checked out the now retired refereeing legend Nigel Owens?

It’s a Polynesian thing, so most of the Polynesian nations including New Zealand have some form of haka, so the Tongan and Samoan teams do one for example - although not always called a haka. The All Blacks do it at every game they play, and have done for a very long time. They’re amazing to see in person. There’s different forms as well, intending to bestow respect as well as being a challenge. Some schools in NZ have their own haka too. There’s this one that was done by students for a returning teacher in NZ https://youtu.be/lt6GRghrmaU?si=Iejdk5yLAJ7lXPV0 There’s some incredibly powerful ones from funerals too, and weddings.

Samoa, Tonga and Fuji have their own challenges, maybe look up Tonga playing New Zeland in tne rugby league world cup epic!
