The idea that Cauldron would bail him out is not actually that crazy. Coil owes them. They can't collect if he gets taken down and thrown into prison. At the very least, this makes it likely that they would intervene in some fashion, even if its only after the fact to bust him out and set him up somewhere else where he could be of use.

2025-04-08 18:11:57 +0000 UTCTruth be told, I don't think Canon ever said that Cauldron would actively help Coil. Coil can pay for their services just like anyone else. And they were making the conditions of Brockton Bay such that a Parahuman could take control of the place. Too much fanon has led to people thinking that Cauldron would bail him out. So telling Legend might lead to him being caught. The challenge isn't Cauldron, it's Coil's power and resources. Especially if he has Dinah and can use Tattletale.
