Vibe Check: The XXX-Gene
Added 2023-02-12 15:37:41 +0000 UTCAlright guys, here we are. I said I would do these for all of my new stories, so even though I'm pretty confident you guys have been enjoying The XXX-Gene (based on Likes, Voting, and Comments), I still want to make absolutely sure.
With Chapter 4 just going live (go read it if you haven't yet) and next time being the release of Chapter 1 to the public, let me know if you think The XXX-Gene deserves to continue on down below.
Also, let me know what you're liking about the story so far, what you're not liking about the story so far, AND what you want to see going forward in this story. Won't deny it, been leaning on you guys a lot for these early chapters of pretty much all six of my new stories. Your ideas might not all make it into every fic, but having your feedback still means the world to me.
Anyways, that's all I've got to say. Fingers crossed that The XXX-Gene continues to entertain for some time to come!

I think a lot of people want to see Thad join the Brotherhood but only because that's a different route from most of the comics. I feel that way too but I don't see a reason why he'd do that, he seems too much of a good boy and I think he can tell Rouge is too biased to be fully trusted. Also I think a lot of people are hesitant to join the Brotherhood when there aren't that many girls, this is a porn fic after all.

2023-02-12 22:26:38 +0000 UTCI know a lot of people are pulling for Brotherhood because it would be more interesting, considering what type of series this is, I feel like it's the lesser option. Girl mutants are thin on the ground in the Brotherhood, so you got Mystique, Rogue (if she hasn't left for the X-Men yet), Destiny, Astra, and *maybe* Scarlet Witch? So you gotta start gender bending and/or send him to the X-Mansion as a spy, but then why send the guy who can empower people to your enemies? IDK, it just makes more sense to me for him to go with the X-Men, but maybe have Brotherhood sympathies so any villainesses aren't off the table. Heck, maybe a part of this story could be him getting the X-Men and Brotherhood on the same page...

2023-02-12 17:30:52 +0000 UTCThis one is cooking nicely. The two stories you’re writing that I haven’t seen the source material for are Naruto and Fate, but Naruto has been easy to follow. The fate one I’ve stopped reading due to getting confused. Percy is good and developing, DC is good, the longer continuances as well, and providence is of course excellent. Mostly just the fate story I’d vote to drop.

Allows some unique expies (Disney ones would be great), while giving us a bit unique way to write a fandom that I think at this point had pretty much everything in it. As yeah, it's hard to write something unique here. Also with the last Hogwarts game, it looks like 'HP in the past' becomes a pretty popular option. Going with Hogwarts game timeline wouldn't be bad as well? XXX-Gene should be alright, but I hope we avoid the X-Men option and go with Brotherhood or some sort of independent route. Or heck, it could be interesting to join a non-mutant faction, to see how it would go, Heroes for Hire or something. Percy I don't care about it as a series, so no comment on it. Naruto goes well so far. I was REALLY worried about it staying in 'canon time', but you made it a very unique AU so far, so at least it's not repetitive. Someone had an idea with Kushina winning as a teacher option, making him travel with her for some diplomatic missions, possibly to train as the future Hokage. Which works to me. Pakura, Shion (and her mother), Mei, Koyuki Kazehana, etc. sound like fun unique out of Konoha options to lewd. Fate is... alright I guess as well, I see too much FGO these days, which makes me bored of it, although with Rin/Sakura/Emiya, at least it's something different. I think some expies like Naruto servants could be fun to see as well? If we go with servant Fate insanity, we may as well turn it into lots of expy servants as well, just for the heck of it.

If I had to choose 2 out of the 6 to get rid off, this and the HP one are it, tho I'm basing this off the opinion of my friend since I haven't watched naruto or fate so idk whats happening there but he seems pretty enthused about those 2. I'm going to be mad if DC or PJO gets dropped tho
