Britni Svaladottir Design/Bio

I have created the world's only Viking Gyaru. You are welcome. Those who have read the Corruption of Coye novella have heard Britni referenced multiple times, but she's yet to make an appearance. Now you can see her in all her glory! Rather than writing an entire bio and having to structure it, I wrote a bunch of notes and they aren't very organized.
- The only child of Svala Hjalkardottir and an unknown Karnallian father.
- 21 years old. Personality is chill, friendly, but somewhat bitchy underneath it. More manipulative than she lets on, but not in an evil way.
- Britni’s maternal grandfather, Jarl Hjalkar, is the current Midgardian ambassador to Karnalle.
- Hjalkar was the man responsible for raising Britni since his free-spirited daughter does what she wants.
- Britni does not resent her mom for not being around, respects her free-spirited Viking lifestyle. Rather than mother-and-daughter, the two act more like sisters.
- Britni was raised primarily in Imperalis but has made frequent trips to Midgard with her grandfather. Due to exposure to Midgardian winters, cold does not bother her except at extreme temperatures.
- As is Midgardian tradition, Britni was trained for combat from a young age. Even by her family’s high standards, she was considered gifted. Most of her training was done in Midgard.
- She worships the Midgardian pantheon, with her favored deity being Thor.
- Her handaxe is meant to grant her Thor’s favor. It can create weak-to-mid level lightning and has an enchantment to ensure it always returns to her hand, making it an homage to Mjolnir.
- Her armor is very minimal, as expected of a Barbarian, but it’s tough. It’s made of troll-hide, which she customized using chroma crystals to make it less ugly.
- Britni is deeply invested in Karnallian culture, and living in Imperalis for most of her life gave her a love of expensive fashion, jewelry, cute plushies, and sweets.
- Hjalkar disapproves of her interest in these things, but he is so weak to his adorable granddaughter that he’s always given in to her whims and spoiled her.
- He would be much more opposed to her interests if she wasn’t also a talented warrior who otherwise respects Midgardian traditions.
- The only thing he really staunchly disapproves of is her tanned skin, which makes her drastically different from other Midgardians.
- After coming of age, Britni was allowed to choose whether she wanted to join her family’s raiders or stay in Karnalle as an adventurer. She chose the latter option, wanting to make her own way in the Realms as her mother did.
- Hjalkar warned her that if this was what she wanted he would financially cut her off, but she manipulated him into giving her a monthly allowance of 3,000G which he still does to this day.
- Britni signed up at Perlshaw, where she developed a reputation as a promising up and comer. In the span of two years, her charms drew in the other three members of her party, who she would dub the Baddest Bitches.
- There came a chance to transfer to Cransmere for three years in exchange for a financial incentive, 100,000G up front, and an extra %5 of the cut of quests they turn in, so she talked her party into doing it.
- Britni isn’t that keen on Cransmere. She finds the town creepy, its people somewhat annoying, and most of all, boring. To stay sane, she has latched onto a certain someone who makes it all worth it; Coye.
- She was always popular with men but had no interest in the types who hit on her, preferring cute and younger-looking boys. She lucked out upon discovering her new Guildmate and has been toying with him with the help of her party ever since.
- It’s all a mind game to her. She wants to tease him to the point where he either pops and becomes completely submissive or grows enough balls to make a move on her. At least, that’s the plan, but there’s no telling what would happen if he actually did.
- There’s a more nihilistic side to Britni under the surface that she tries to hide, and some of her bitchiness is a byproduct of it. Midgardian culture has raised her to believe that the only thing of value is dying on the field of battle and serving Odin in Asgard. There are times she doubts that friendship, love, her hobbies, or anything else that makes her, ‘her’, are meaningless.
- She respects the Gods but doesn’t even know if she wants to go to Valhalla just to one day fight a losing battle in Ragnarok. Sure, endless fighting and drinking sound fun, but there’d be no cute things in Valhalla, and no fashion, either.
- A big part of her character development will be moving past this and realizing with Coye’s help that there’s more to life than stressing over where her soul will end up when she dies and learning that there’s meaning and value in whatever she sees it in.
