Ghorza's Clan
Added 2021-09-16 21:01:41 +0000 UTCAnother piece of background data I need to write Ghorza's spinoff. If you've read his bio, you know that his Clan means everything to him and it's the entire reason he emigrated. Therefore, I wanted a name, age and a couple of sentences about every one of his siblings and his three mothers so that he can actually reference them in his dialogue.
-
Urzog
Deceased at Age 45
A powerful Orc warrior of Tribe Kurdhakka and the former leader of his Clan, Gazraggahr. An incredibly strong warrior who was beloved by all, many assumed he would one day become the tribe's chieftain before his unexpected death. Was jovial, loud, boisterous and loved women, booze and fighting but respected family more than anything else.
Gharol
Urzog's first wife
Age 43
A fellow tribe warrior who was Urzog's childhood friend. They grew up fighting together and while their relationship seemed antagonistic, it was one based around mutual love and respect. They casually married because why not? She misses her husband, but in a very gruff and stoic way where she hints he was too weak and that she was always stronger. Frequently remarks about what a bitch he was. Current leader of Clan Gazraggahr.
Children:
Ghorza
Male, Age 21
Oldest child. Protagonist.
Bula
Female, Age 20
A really chill, laid back girl with talent in sewing. Likes making clothes for her clan and is mature. Doesn't want to get married until all her siblings are adults.
Atub
Female, Age 19
Takes after mother, is a loud and abrasive warrior Orc. Strong and rowdy, always getting into fights. Secretly likes cute things, unlike her mother.
Ogrul
Male, Age 18
Bonesmith apprentice, doesn't talk much. Passionate about creating weapons from powerful bones. Sometimes Ghorza sends him back the bones of monsters he's killed in Karnalle.
Borba
Male, Age 17
A lean, not very muscular Orc who is fast and works as a scout for the tribe. His work is dangerous, but he takes pride in it since it keeps everyone else safe.
Orbul
Female, Age 16
Really childish girl who does not want to grow up. She still plays with dolls and toys, likes picture books and stories.
Durz
Male, Age 15
Has promising talent at using Wahgurs, Orc magic. Likes weird occult things and others find him creepy.
Yagnar
Male, Age 13
Wants to be a warrior but has little talent for fighting. Trains every day but isn't allowed to go hunting. Very hot-headed and impulsive.
Ragash
Female, Age 12
Loves shiny things for some odd reason and often gets in trouble stealing them from other Orcs. Borderline kleptomaniac.
Dura
Urzog's Second Wife, Age 40
A friend of Gharol who always had a crush on Urzog. Dura is a huntress who specialized in combing the desert for food, but is still quite feminine. One night after a stressful hunt she confessed to Dura she'd always found her husband super hot since they were kids. Taking pity on her drunk friend, Gharol invited Dura to their marriage bed. It went so successfully that she became Urzog's second wife shortly after.
Children:
Knorgh
Male, Age 19
A big, strong Orc who has a complicated relationship with Ghorza. He is angry at his big brother and always acts out, always feeling one step behind Ghorza. Wants to outdo him, but deep down he really just respects his brother a ton.
Shelur
Female, Age 18
Recently became boy crazy, which stresses Ghorza out. She asks him to send her trendy Karnallian fashion, perfumes and other junk but it's way too expensive.
Borgakh and Bagamul
Female and Male, Age 17, Twins
Twins that are always making trouble for the tribe in some way or another. They act out for attention and Ghorza always dreads hearing what they're up to. He's had to save them more times than he can count.
Holkurg
Male, Age 15
A rare kind of Orc who has a mind fit for strategy and tactics. Likes the Karnallian game, Chess, and complicated political books. Eventually wants to leave Grurguhrohk to put his mind to better use.
Oodagh
Male, Age 14
Troublesome Orc who likes fire a lot more than he should. He creeps out a lot of the Tribe, but he's still family.
Glasha
Female, Age 12
Despite her small stature for an Orc she's really strong and is an up-and-coming warrior. Hates being treated like a kid.
Bashuk
Female, Age 11
Gossip-obsessed blabbermouth. Tattles constantly and loves to eavesdrop for drama.
Sharog
Urzog's Third Wife, Age 34
Daughter of a rival tribes' chieftain who Urzog took as his third wife in an attempt to deepen relationships between the tribes. Very traditionally girly, especially for an Orc. Not strong at all and is very happy being a stay-at-home mom to all her husband's children.
Children:
Mazoga
Female, Age 16
Walvohk tamer with varying levels of success. Covered in scars from her attempts to tame the wolf-like creatures. She likes animals in general.
Uloth
Female, Age 15
A depressive Orc who likes morbid things, but also has an interest in medicine. Wants to be a shaman.
Xolag
Male, Age 14
Fat, lazy Orc with no direction in his life. A stress on the clan, but he feels like he can't live up to everyone's expectations of himself.
Ignorg
Male, Age 13
Mommy's boy, really soft and weak. Doesn't leave Sharog's side.
Murbol
Female, Age 12
Talented storyteller. Loves listening to Orc folktales and making up her own.
Morn
Female, Age 11
A very off-kilter young girl with a passion for art. This is very uncommon for Orcs to be interested in, so Ghorza has trouble understanding her.
Comments
Remembering them is not important to the story. It’s so I can refer to them in dialogue.
