Bio for the Catfolk Fencer!

D'artanyan, henceforth known as Dart, is a nineteen-year-old Catfolk and former member of the Breeding Tribe. She hails from the source of most Beastfolk in Karnalle, the Breeding Grounds in southeast Echora.

From a young age, she found herself enamored with the Karnallian ideals of knighthood. Dart would always listen to the stories of knights or adventurers who visited the Breeding Grounds looking to adopt from the tribe. The encounters with strong swordsmen proved pivotal to the kitten. Some of them saw potential in Dart and amused themselves by teaching her. She learned the basics of swordplay from these visitors until, at the age of six, Dart impressed the tribe enough that they pulled her out of maid education. They allowed her to be trained by the tribe’s combat instructors instead.

The tribe saw potential in adopting her out as a bodyguard or a sellsword, yet Dart made no attempt to hide that she was going to break free of the tribe one day. She didn't want to be adopted. Instead, she wanted to become her own cat and go on adventures. Her head was filled with the fantasies all those Knights instilled in her. She dreamed of protecting the weak, crawling through dungeons, and slaying monsters.

Once she turned eighteen, the tribe couldn't force her to stay any longer. It's at that age when members of the tribe have to decide on one of three paths. One, stay on with the intent of being adopted. Two, remain at the Breeding Grounds to help the tribe somehow. Three, forsake the tribe and its support forever to go their own way.

Dart's path was obvious. Even though she'd miss her friends, she knew what she had to do.

She was gifted a cheap sword and a farewell package with some food and a paltry sum of gold. It was barely enough to get Dart a ride on a caravan headed Hunnihome and get her registered as an adventurer at the local guild. Her guildmates would come to know her as a peculiar girl who overacts her knightly fantasies, yet also as someone who is exceptionally kind and helpful.

Dart is someone the Hunnihome Adventurer's Guild can always rely on and is famous for never turning down a challenge or a cry for help. Sadly, some of the other adventurers made use of her helpful personality to their own advantage. Sometimes other adventurers would ask to be in her party, only to trick her into doing most of the work. Dart isn't the brightest, so she wasn't aware she was genuinely being taken advantage of.

The Guild Mistress, Lanille Peacethorn, saw through the other adventurer's constant attempts at abusing the young Catfolk's kindness. Without any choice in the matter, Lanille ended up stopping it before it got out of hand. Even she explained it to her, Dart still believed in her teammates and vouched for them... until she overheard them talking crap about her ratting them out to the Mistress.

This hurt Dart significantly. For the first time in her life, the innocent kitten learned that people will walk all over someone like her. She fell into a slump for a while. Dart focused on grinding out solo missions, avoiding other members of the Guild, and ignoring anyone asking her for help.

This depression went on too long for Lanille's liking, and she sought to pull her out of it.

Thankfully, there was a single member of the Guild who Dart had always had her eyes on. It was someone she fancied, even if all Dart ever did was stare at him from afar with her unblinking cat eyes. Lanille thought she'd play matchmaker to bring together a brand new adventuring party. Considering how Ghorza the Brawler was going through issues of his own at the time, the kindly older woman hardly had to lift a finger to set these two up with each other.

Ghorza fits everything Dart has ever wanted in a mate.

Huge, strong, muscular, and rugged. While not a knight, she knows he's a pretty good guy from what everyone else has said about him, especially Lanille. However, she has trouble being honest with the man who has earned her affection.

As such, Dart relies on outdated stereotypes as an execute to talk to him, often going on her long and rambly knightly rants. Dart claims Ghorza is a vile barbarian who needs to be watched in case he tries to pillage Hunnihome. That’s pretty bad, but all she really means by it is, 'I want to hang out with you'.

Ghorza routinely points out her racism, frequently reminding her that he's not a Vagrkun Orc, which is where those stereotypes come from. To be fair, the racism goes both ways as he's quick to jab back by calling her a mindless animal and a beast out of frustration.

Eventually, Ghorza gives her a lot of reasons to like him beyond her superficial attraction. Dart sees firsthand how kind he is and is impressed with how much he treasures his family above all else. More importantly, hanging out with Ghorza helps patch up the trust issues she was struggling with. Ghora never asks her for anything and instead goes out of his way to help her however he can. This reminds Dart that it's alright for her to help those she cares about, and he offers to watch over her and make sure no one abuses her kindness.

Recently, though, this has started to annoy the kitten. Dart wishes Ghorza would rely on her more, and day by day, her advances are getting more serious. Beastfolk can only hold back their desire for so long. Dart’s attempts at getting him to perform the mating ceremony with her are becoming blatant even as she tries to claim otherwise. After all, Orcs are known for their ravenous libidos. Someone has to keep it in check, don't they?

Speaking of Dart's lewd desires, she continually tries to get Ghorza to wear armor because of her knight fetish. She thinks he'd look really hot in a huge, bulky full plate with lots of chainmail underneath. Ghorza has to constantly remind her that Orcs don't wear armor, and even if they did, it's expensive as hell.
