Comments

I don't have any plans for a desktop mode at this time.

Furotic

Will there be Any Desktop mode compatability? I'm interested in playing the game.

Only the scale buttons in the middle work at the moment. The other things are features which will be added soon, but for now are just placeholders as I work on the interface layout.

Furotic

Is it just me or do the selection menus up top not work? I haven't found anything laying out the controls yet... so I may just be missing something.

Yeah, the MEGA link breaks at the pound sign, which is why I like to use the link feature on Patreon instead. You type in something, maybe "DOWNLOAD LINK HERE", then select the text and there's a button that looks like chain links, then you drop the link into the text box that shows up.

Well, one thing to note that is that right now there's six characters in the scene, whereas in a future build you'll be able to select the characters and you'll only be able to have two enabled at once. Aside from that, I do plan to implement object culling at some point. Right now every single object in the world that's in your view frustum is rendered every frame, regardless of whether those objects cannot be seen because there's a wall between them and the camera. Cullling would take into account where you are in the world, and what can and can't potentially be seen from that location. But that can take a long time to set up. I believe I need to create bunch of culling volumes in optimal locations and then bake the culling data into them. But I may also have to set up occlusion volumes which would mimic the walls and such that can block your line of sight and that would be a lot more work. I'll look into it though, and see what I can do. Perhaps I could just have a list of excess objects that are for decoration which could be removed. There's hundreds of objects in the house though, so even that could take a lot of time to set up!

Furotic

Are you ever planning on adding a low detail mode? I get that you can lower the resolution on steam but it would be nice to be able to not have blurry vision by removing some excess objects instead. Not a developer so if that's really tedious to add, blurry vision isn't the worst.

Looking better and better! I appreciate the care being taken to make it micro friendly. :)
