Marching season isn’t quite over yet...I know, I know...I’ve been talking about this now for what feels like FOREVER! I have to say that it does feel like forever, but it’s only been 3 months! Crazy huh? Anyway, one more week and then it’s just teaching flute music and no more dancing! Also, I will be posting both shows for you to see on Patreon so you can see what I help do all year!

I’ve been holding out on you guys for a while now, and I feel guilty.
When I was out of town, I took pictures of my friends and family’s pets. Today you get to see my parents little furballs!
The schnauzers are my mom’s and dad’s little pride and joys. The grey one is Sasha and the white one is Bella. They are actual sisters and they LOVE to bully my little Boston…and by bully, I mean they all chase each other until they can’t anymore!

I'm typing this from a coffee shop in Carrollton, Texas as I wait an hour to do a junior

This message is coming out late because today is marching contest! The high school bands I work with go to contest and for sure they are going to get their division 1 ratings. Area is next weekend, so we are working on making sure that we are ready to compete with some of the best high school bands out there. Wish us luck!

I'm not going to lie to you.
I got home from seeing family this weekend and I am not going to lie, it was a lot. Not in a bad way, but there was some things that I wasn't expecting.
I got home fully expecting to record on Tuesday for this week, but I couldn't get out of bed. I think I am just mentally tired.
Anime will be coming on Thursday with Sound! Euphonium and The Apothecary Diaries.

If you’ve been keeping up with my cat Jacen, then you already know he’s was diagnosed with feline diabetes back in June.
This was a huge shift for us, well…more for me than him, but we have been sticking to the vet’s plan for him.
After his recent checkup, it turns out that his diabetes might be in remission! As you can see, he has a new glucose monitor on him since his sugars have been lower lately and this is to keep on eye on possible hypoglycemia.

Look...sometimes friends need to have some time to themselves. Sometimes they might need to hang out with other friends to have some distance. I think it's perfectly healthy to practice boundaries.
Friends have spats and arguments. We are all human after all. As long as you can talk it out if neccesary and move on, it's all good.
I really liked this episode due to the conflict involved. Does that say something about me???

This is such a lovely story of love. I'm a sucker for this kind of thing.
The Concubine was so smart to feign sleepwalking to make her seem less appealing to the emperor. Even her tripping is a nice touch!

Here is part 1 of a 2 part series!
I forgot that the next step in the Sound! Euphonium journey was a movie so I was pleasently surprised when I got home to record.
I did finish the movie in one sitting. Part 2 will be coming next week.
The story with the new characters is really exciting and nerve wracking. I wanted to chew my nails this whole movie!!

Because of the laptop you have so graciously allowed me to buy, I have been able to edit and post videos while I am on the go and I have also been able to send business emails when I need to. Holy "hard-on," Batman! This anime got dirty (in a good way) quick!
I cannot stand how much I enjoy this show and it's only episode 2!
The fact that Maomao has been testing poisons on herself for so long that she is immune to most of what can make you sick is so cool! ...and the testing on her ARMS?! AHHH!
There is something so refreshing about seeing a female character being able to cure mysterious ailments and create concoctions.

The story being told in this song is heat warming and based on whatever perspective you look at it, it's absolutely beautiful.

I completely understand Azusa's feelings about the light music club. Her outburst was valid, but I love that she decided to try accepting the club's rituals.
Even though it may seem like Yui, Mugi and, Ritsu seem a bit lazy at times, it's because they want to get to know their band mates to create their musical family. It's actually quite sweet!

Due to it being homecoming for one of the high schools I work with, we had a rescheduled marching band rehearsal tonight. I’m crispy, creaky, and I fell asleep immediately after rehearsal.

This was an experience. I honestly listened to this a couple more times on my way to the flute mum party.
The way this song plays with the idea of attending a church sermon is really something else. It is amazing that the guitar playing by Moore feels like a choral leader singing gospel to the congregation.
This is a Rock'n'Roll church experience!

I want everyone to know that when I brought this band up to friends and coworkers and they were very concerned that I didn't know "Mr. Blue Sky" that well.
I won't lie, I have heard the intro to this song, and immediately knew the general idea of the song, but I have never had the pleasure of listening to the entire song.
There are some cool things happening in here and it's really fun to hear what types of scales are being used in this song!

I'm absolutely stunned that this is the first track to the World Domination album!
I have been waiting so long to get to this album and man...I was not disappointed in their delivery. I know that every Maid shines everytime, but DAMN! Saiki was absolutely tearing it down with her golden pipes. Do you HEAR that clear belt style singing? She doesn't even seem like she's straining!

Look at me! I am on time this week! I am not going to lie. I got home yesterday and told myself I was going to get started on what I need to record tomorrow and I crashed. I sat in bed looking at what I needed to get done and...BOOM! I was out. I'm typing this at 11:13PM Friday night because now I can't sleep! Oh well, there's good music coming!
