“I told you I wasn’t lying, Dave!” Ling protested, “Mitch and I really did swap bodies!”
“It’s true,” Mitch confessed as he looked over at Ling, “We’re still not sure how it happened, or how to swap back. But all this time, she’s been telling you the truth, and I’ve been lying. I’m not Ling; I’m Mitch.”
“So, last night at the party?” Dave asked, “When we kissed? I was kissing a dude?”
“Well, no because I am certainly a chick right now. You weren’t kissing a dude, but you weren’t kissing Ling. You were kissing me.”
“And, God, we were going to fuck! But you were too drunk and passed out before it happened! You were just going to let me do that without telling me any of this!?”
“I know, I know. I’m sorry! That’s why I need to come clean now. I feel guilty about it; all of it! Dave, you know I’m gay. Well, I guess in Ling’s body I’m straight, but...whatever. What you didn’t know was I had a crush on you, so when I swapped bodies with your girlfriend...it just felt like the perfect opportunity.”
“Mitch, that’s so gross,” Ling interjected, “Dave and I are leaving.”
Dave looked briefly at both Ling and Mitch an their swapped bodies. Although he didn’t like Mitch’s deception, they had always been good friends. And while Ling was a hot girlfriend, he hadn’t really connected to her emotionally. Suddenly really thinking about the situation, he spoke, “Well, actually...”
