I got this bag for like $30 on depop and felt strongly that it needed to be rescued from the beige plague, so I’ve been yassifying it over the last weeks. I wanted to share this while I plan a shoot for this month!

I used a combination of black dye and acrylic paint to change it to black. I do not recommend this method as it looked like straight ass until I coated it in fabric mod podge and that barely saved it. It also made the suede look like asphalt which is kinda dope.

I used one kind of leftover trim and leather scraps to make a layer to wrap around the top, and all the pocket details. I glued the laces down on the top back of the trim, but the rest of it is still functional which is pretty cool.

Placing the rhinestones with long nails and sewing the trim are tied right now for Task I Hate the Most.

I used almost exclusively materials I already had lying around from other projects, so this has been pretty cheap to make! I even was able to repurpose some earrings I can’t wear anymore.
