Animation Release: High-Pressure Plate

I'm calling this one done! Damn. I tried a couple of different things here, some things I'm fond of, some that were an absolute pain in the ass. There's about 70 character frames. Not quite as many frames as the blueberry one, but way WAY more layers and still quite a big project all told.

What's next? Well, a break week from animation at least. My wrist has been getting better and I want to ensure I keep any strain or long-lasting problems at bay. Besides, the animation suggestion box will be going up on Wednesday, so we'll be figuring out what comes next very soon! Whatever comes next, I'll be focusing in on shorter animations with less flat angles and more creative framing and cropping, trying again for that once-a-month release frequency, and longer animations like this being less of the norm. If I find time during this break week I might do something relatively simple like flat coloring for Arcane Orb, but I mostly want to catch up on gift art for folks over on Twitter.

Obviously the watermark will do that just fine for the most part. My blueberry animation lacked a watermark, and then an uncredited YouTube reupload got over a million (!) views. So yeah. Gotta watermark that shit now.

This entire animation came off the back of a suggestion by an $8 Subscriber! Details about the character were decided via subsequent $8 polls. If you want to get in on the ground floor and push my work in certain directions, this is a pretty good time to do it! Animation suggestion box goes up on Wednesday, and May's Weekly Art suggestion box is up right now! You could even sub just for the suggestion boxes, and then duck out and wait for the next free animation release if you don't care that much for update posts and polls. Oh, and don't expect copyright characters in my animation work. Sorry! I just can't bank multiple weeks work on something that can get taken down.
