Chapter 40: Lucifer vs. Satanchia

Khaos Brigade Base

BOOM BOOM BANG

Naruto and Rizevim clash with magic and fists. Dark magic and pure magical power faced off in a struggle for dominance, neither giving an inch to their foe.

Euclid Lucifuge watched in awe. He dared not get close to the battle, or else he would be crushed by the demonic energies the two super devils were emitting.

Naruto fired a barrage of mini magic bullets at Rizevim, who retaliated with the same. This created an explosion that blocked the view of both devils, who had to rely on their sensory abilities to find the position of the other.

If Naruto was honest, he was impressed with how much power Rizevim had. It was way more than he had the last time he saw him. The Satanchia can now admit that Lucifer was, in fact, a true super devil.

"You've gotten stronger," Naruto commented as he dodged a wave of destructive magic aimed at him and then launched several black holes with his dark magic.

"Hahaha, and you've gotten even more pathetic," Rizevim spat out. He was getting frustrated by the fact that Naruto was taking him lightly. "Hold still and let me hit you."

"Where is the fun in that? If you want to hit me, you will have to catch me first," Naruto replied with a smug look. He was not worried about being harmed by Rizevim at all, due to his inverting magic, which turned the damage he takes into power.

"Take this," Rizevim exclaimed, summoning his devil gear, which looked almost exactly like a black twice-critical gauntlet. "Boost, Boost, Boost."

Naruto felt Rizevim's power double by the second as an aura of magic surrounded the son of Lucifer, who had a wicked smile on his face as he pointed a finger at the Satanchia.

"Satan Bullet," a magic bullet the size of a golf ball, was launched from Rizevim's finger at sonic speed. It grew in size and power as it approached Naruto, until it was the size of a skyscraper.

Naruto had to escape using his shadow in order to get away from the blast that rocked the Khaos Brigade Base. The Satanchia could feel the spirit in his devil gear scream, urging him to eliminate the dragon in front of him.

"Calm down, Samael. You will get your chance soon enough," Naruto said in his head, communicating with the spirit in his devil gear. "I want to make him suffer before finishing him off."

Naruto words silently as the dragon eater was more than happy to have a dragon or someone who used the power of a dragon suffer before they died.

Naruto appeared behind Rizevim and hit him with a barrage of mini magic bullets of darkness that implode instead of explode, sucking everything nearby in.

The son of Lucifer screamed in pain as he was hit; the attacks themselves didn't do much damage, but his armor was no more. Naruto jumped back into his shadow before Rizevim recovered.

"You sneaky bastard, stop fighting like a coward," Rizevim shouted in rage. Naruto realized that the son of Lucifer and his devil gear were influencing the other. Dragons can fall into an outrage state, boosting their power, and with Rizevim's already short fuse, it was like throwing oil on a fire. "Come out, Satanchia. I will rip you limb from limb."

BOOST BOOST BOOST BOOST

Naruto watched as Rizevim grew more powerful, while he lost more of his sanity to anger. This was part of his plan, of course. He could try to overpower the son of Lucifer as he is now, but with his ability to boost his power, that may not be possible soon.

"The thing about power is that if you don't have enough control over it, it can destroy you," Naruto thought with a smirk. He remembered from his past life how he couldn't control Kurama's power, which had injured him and could have killed him and those he cared for.

The Satanchia knew that there was no way Rizevim could contain all that power within his body. Sooner or later, his body would start to break down, and then he would deliver the finishing blow.

Naruto chose to go through this roundabout way of dealing with Rizevim because of the simple fact that, like his father, the original Lucifer, the most dangerous thing about them is their mind, not their strength, and making him so lost in his fury that he can't think straight takes away their greatest weapon.

"Doing things this way makes it so Rizevim can't come up with a plan of attack or escape when he really cannot win," Naruto thought. Ophis had told him that the only way out of the base was through one of her portals. There were several in the base, but Naruto made sure to make Ophis disable them until he orders her through a snake he has with him to reopen them. "I am sure that that son of a bitch has his own way of getting out."

"Come out, you fucking coward," Rizevim roared, attacking wildly. He was foaming at the mouth at this point, with his eyes bloodshot. He looked more like a rabid dog than the son of a devil king.

Underworld [New Satan Faction]

Zekram Bael looked at the gathering of devils in front of him with an evil gleam in his eyes. There were devils from all the clans of the Anti-Satan Faction, including the four Satans: Sirzechs Gremory, Ajuka Astaroth, Serafall Sitri, and Falbium Glasya-Labolas.

Each was given the title of a Satan, but everyone knew who had the real power in the underworld: the Bael clan, aka him, the founder.

That would be true if it were not for the Extra demon Faction, a torn at his side. Really, they had the nerve to stop him from his destiny of being the only real power in control of all devils.

"I will be blunt. My spy within the Extra Devil Faction had reported to me that all the powerful fighters are away, dealing with another matter. I propose we attack them now," Zekram said, shocking some, exciting others, and getting mixed reactions.

"We can't do that. Our relationship has been getting better," Sirzechs said, trying to get the ancient devil to change his mind. "Besides, what will happen when Satanchia comes back?"

"Why, Sirzechs, you are acting like you fear the Satanchia. Aren't you a Satan and a super devil?" Zekram asked mockingly. He did not respect the new Satans, mostly because they were his pawn figureheads, but he controlled this faction.

"I am not afraid of Satanchia, but think about what he will do if we attack his home. I can't be everywhere at once after all," Sirzechs replied calmly. He knew that Zekram was trying to bait him. "This is not a good idea."

Sirzechs can already see it in his head: Satanchia teleports using his shadows into the homes of the pillar members, eliminates them before they could realize he is there, and leaves before anyone or any of the other Satans can stop him.

There is also the fact that no one knew the exact military strength of the Extra demon Faction, especially after Satanchia increased the birth rate of the Faction. Sirzechs doubts that Zekram's spies found anything about the number of devils in the Faction or their power.

Khaos Brigade Base

Naruto had to admit that Rizevim, with his Devil Gear, was a force to be reckoned with. With his vast demonic energy, he could amplify his power while simultaneously healing himself of the stamina-draining effect of his Devil Gear.

This meant that Rizevim could, in theory, raise his power infinitely, which would be bad for anyone to deal with. Naruto knew that there were only a handful of people who would be able to defeat the son of Lucifer if they didn't kill him before he could use his devil Gear to its full potential.

BOOST BOOST BOOST BOOST

Naruto could see from within a shadow that Rizevim's power was starting to warp the space around him. It was as if he were a devil god; everyone nearby had the common sense to get away.

"My magic to turn damage into power will be overwhelmed by him," Naruto thought as he looked at Rizevim firing off magical spell after spell, destroying everything around him. "He is stronger than all four Satans of the New and Old Satan Faction combined."

It was the second time Naruto was impressed with Rizevim's power. The first time was when they had their first match years ago, and he was a young devil, but the Satanchia was different now.

The two rings and his finger started to glow as Naruto activated his Devil Gear, his trump card against dragons and snakes, or anyone who drew their power from such beings. Sadly, for Rizevim, he fell into that category.

Underworld [New Satan Faction]

Sirzechs held his face in his hands as he listened helplessly while Zekram and the majority of the other pillar clans cheered, agreeing to launch an immediate attack on the Extra Devil Faction.

"This might not end well," Ajuka said next to Sirzechs. He knew that Zekram's actions might spell their doom, but he, like the other Satans, had no real to power besides their strength. The Bael clan held all the political power, and now Zekram was using it to force them into this.

"It may be foolish, but as Satans, we must protect our faction, no matter what," Falbium declared. He clearly didn't like the idea of attacking the Extra Devil faction, not because it was wrong to attack unprovoked, but because they lacked any information about their power.

"This is wrong," Serafall stated sadly. She had gone through the devil civil war and had to kill many of her fellow devils, and never wanted to do it again. "We should find a way to stop this."

"There is no stopping Zekram when he sets his sights on something like this," Sirzechs responded, sighing. He accepted that there were many tragedies to come for whom he did not know. "All we can do is try to win this war that Zekram is starting as quickly as possible to minimize casualties on both sides."

The Four New Satans had a grim determination. This was not what they wanted, but they didn't have a choice. They just hoped that somehow everything would be okay in the end.
