Chapter 6: Defeats and Victories

Dupli-Kate's clones were busy evacuating injured heroes like War Woman, Green Ghost, Invincible, Rex, Shrinking Rae, and Monster Girl. Robot was a robot, so Kate didn't even bother pretending to care about a bucket of bolts.

"Sigh, pathetic, but you are going to be a problem," Kate stated as she turned around to where four of her clones were battling Furnace. The villain was basically living plasma without his suit, so she had no way of containing him herself. "I will just keep him here until Naruto comes back."

"I am so happy I got these powers from Brit," Kate said with a smirk as her clones took a plasma blast with no ill effects, her mind then went to Brittney, the sister of the man she tortured to get his secret formula, and her face got an evil look.

After Brittney confronted her about her brother's disappearance, Kate was furious. The bitch had the nerve to sucker punch her and go on about getting revenge for her brother. It was the last mistake she ever made.

Flashback Scene Ahead

"That whore," Kate screamed in rage as she destroyed everything around her. Naruto watched her vent. "I will kill that bitch the next time I see her."

Naruto nodded at his wife's true words, but at the same time, he chuckled because they were guilty of killing Brit. Not that it matters without proof, but he knew what his wife wanted, and that was to make an example out of Brittney.

"You are right, but calm down for now," Naruto said as he hugged Kate to himself. "We will teach that British cunt a lesson, but be patient, and we will get an opportunity to strike."

"Fine, but I will be the one to take care of her when the time comes," Kate responded as she relaxed in her husband's arms.

Fast Forward

As Naruto predicted, they just had to wait, and Brittney slipped up. She had been following Kate, hoping to catch her doing something illegal, but too bad for her. Naruto has superhuman senses, so they knew what she was doing. When the time was right, the couple sprung a trap on her.

"Bring it, you slut. You will not get away with this," Brittney cursed at the Asian hero-villain, but her curses soon turned to screams of pain as a power drill was pressed against her eyes, which were forced open by Kate. It didn't damage the eyes, but it hurt.

Naruto left the room as the pained screams of Brit's sister followed. It would be days before Naruto saw Kate exit the dungeon with a smile on her face, and days later, Britney was disposed of by the clone user.

Flashback Scene End

A wide smirk came across Dupli-Kate's face as she remembered what she had done to Brittney. It also made her very horny, and her mind went to her red-haired pet. She couldn't wait for the day when she and her husband would share her in bed, on the floor, or any other flat surface.

The black hero turned his head to see Unstoppable take flight with the plasma-using villain. He flew high into the sky until he was out of sight. Samson could only guess that the villain had been thrown into outer space, which should kill him.

The battle was over, but what had the new guardians of the glide accomplish? They had been beaten, and most of the team were badly injured. They only survived because of the intervention of Dupli-Kate and Unstoppable. They had failed.

Fast Forward

After the battle in Machine-Head's tower, the majority of the Guardians of the Globe were hospitalized in a private government facility. The two most badly off were Monster Girl and Invincible.

War Woman and Green Ghost were able to make a quick recovery thanks to not being so injured and the advanced technology used to heal them. Before they could leave the hospital, Dupli-Kate paid them a visit and invited them over to her place (more like ordered them to come or else), to which they accepted (not like they had a choice).

The two heroines spent several days at Unstoppable's home and left limping and embarrassed but with a satisfied look on their faces.

Amber looked much better at Samantha's words, but Kate decided to add her two cents: "Well, I wouldn't be so sure. He is still a hero and will spend most of his time saving people. The three ate and made small talk, but Amber was definitely feeling worse with every word said about her relationship with Mark. "It's okay, Sam, you can go. I'll be fine alone," Amber said, not wanting to pull her friend down into her depression, unaware that Sam just wanted an excuse not to be alone with the Asian hero.

"Aw, you two are so cute. How about this: you two can both come, and we will have a blast," Kate said with a smirk. She could see herself getting into Amber's pants later, maybe with a few drinks.

Sam was panicked by this because she knew Kate would no doubt seduce Amber, and it would be her fault. Mark would never forgive her.

"I am sorry, but I am busy with school work and chores. Maybe next time," Amber answered, making Sam give a sigh of relief. "But you should go, girl, and enjoy yourself."

The redhead gave up at this point and just agreed to go with Kate later. It was not like she hated what they did; it was just that she was not comfortable sleeping with a married woman.

Much later, Kate was walking happily while holding her husband's hand. She had driven Amber home and even got her phone number.
