Chapter 2: Whirlpool Inc.

New York City [Naruto age 25]...

The Uzumaki sighed as he looked back on his life, from legendary Shinobi to mutant millionaire. After he got out of military school, Naruto decided to change his name and cut all ties with the Frost family. He took back his old name, Uzumaki, and has not looked back at his former family, except for his little sister. He had kept an eye out for them and things had been going badly on their part.

Christian his brother had been abusing drugs even more now that Winston's father had found out he's gay, which resulted in his brother being further alienated by him.

Christian had tried to commit suicide, but he was saved before he died. Winston didn't care to visit his son when he was recovering at the hospital; he was actually disappointed that he hadn't died.

When it was time for her father to choose a successor to his empire, Christian was automatically rejected because of his drug problems and his homosexuality.

This further shattered an already broken relationship between the father and son to the point that it can never be repaired.

What does Winston do to try to at least repair the relationship with his son? The old bastard sends Cristian to a mental institution.

Naruto was tempted to intervene when he found out about his brother's situation, but in the end, he didn't. The blonde promised himself that he would help only his little sister, Cordelia, the only one in the family who wasn't rotten to the core and hadn't abandoned him.

The blonde, when back to his thoughts about what he learned happened to his family: So far, Adrienne Frost, his older sister had been also rejected by their father and was not made his heir to everyone's surprise, Winston had been grooming her for the position all her life but at last minute changed his mind.

If Naruto had to guess the reason it would be because, Winston had begun to see the real face of his older sister, she is an arrogant, sociopath who thinks she's always the smartest person in the room, but she's just lucky to have been born into a wealthy family and has her mutant ability otherwise she would have been either killed by someone or been the sex toy of someone she crossed.

Winston then offered Emma the position as his successor, which came as a shock to everyone; this would mark the day when the Frost family would be broken by their father.

Flashback Scene Ahead...

Frost Residents...

The Frost family was in Winston's office; he had called them here to discuss something important. He had decided to name his heir. The one who would inherit everything he had someday.

The siblings stood in front of Winston's desk as the father looked at them all with Hazel besides him. His eyes showed different emotions as he watched his children: some with pride, others with disgust.

"The one I choose to inherit all of my wealth and continue my legacy will be my daughter," Winston said, but he was interrupted by Adrienne, who stepped forward with an arrogant smirk.

"I'm glad to accept this honor, Father. I will lead our company into a new era of prosperity." Adrienne assumed she was the daughter her father was talking about, but her world shattered when he uttered the next few words.

"While I can understand your thinking that you will be my heir, it is not you Adrienne that I have chosen; it is Emma," Winston stated, keeping his voice even.

"What," all those present shouted at the same time, they all expected Adrienne, their bitch of a sister, to be chosen because she had been training to take over their father's company since she could talk not Emma, the one he hadn't invested any time in training.

"What's the meaning of this father?" Adrienne demanded, with a scowl on her face, looking at Winston.

"Adrienne, calm down. I've been thinking about this for a while now, and I've realized that you're not what my company needs to grow." Winston replied, but internally he was thinking that his eldest daughter would run his company into the ground. She was too arrogant and underestimated those around her, and it would be her downfall.

"Then why Emma," Adrienne asked, anger clear in her voice. "She's just a little whore who even drove her own twin away for a pedophile."

Adrienne's words changed the atmosphere of the room. Emma's face turned cold as ice, while Cordelia shot a heated glare at Emma. Christian looked nervous, not wanting to draw any attention to himself. And Hazel, the useless woman that she was, just looked on.

"That was uncalled for, Adrienne," Winston said but didn't go any further into the topic. "I choose Emma as my heir and that is final."

"If that's what you want, then I don't want any part of this. I'm leaving and will start my own company." Adrienne stomped away, pulled the door open, and didn't look back.

"Sigh, I'll talk to her when she calms down. Now, Emma, you'll be shadowing me a lot in the coming days. I'll have to prepare you for running my company." Winston said, but he looked to see Emma walking towards the door.

"Don't bother. I will also be leaving this place and living on my own." Emma stated, not looking back as she left Winston stunned.

Winston looked at his remaining two children: Cordelia, who was too young to be his heir, and Christian, his gay drug-addicted son, the biggest disappointment in his life. The father would rather burn his company to the ground than hand it over to that degenerate.

"Why are you two still here? Get out!" Winston said with a dark look on his face as he watched Christian.

The two siblings quickly left the room, but Christian was hurt that his father didn't even consider him as an option to be his heir. However, he wasn't surprised either.

That day Emma and Adrienne left the Frost family home, both with the goal of making it on their own. Naruto didn't keep tabs on them, but sometimes kept his ears open for news about his sisters' exploits.

Flashback Scene End...

Adrienne left the Frost mansion swearing to get her revenge for what their father did to her by taking her birthright and giving it to another.

Some time after Winston caught his son with a man inside his room having sex, the father looked at them in disgust and for the first time Christian stood up for himself, calling his father a hateful bigot. The two argued until the man with Christian punched Winston, knocking him out.

When Winston awoke, he was on the warpath. The man who had knocked him out was already gone, and his father's memory of him was fuzzy. So he wouldn't be able to get his revenge for the hit. Instead, he focused all his rage on Christian.

The next day, Christian was forcefully taken to a mental institution, kicking and screaming. It was music to Winston's ears. Cordelia saw all this and was horrified; she wrote about what happened to Naruto, the blonde promising to protect her if she were in danger, making her feel safe.

Naruto offered to allow Cordelia to live with him after she became 18 years old to avoid having their parents call the police and mark her as a runaway minor. Cordelia's younger sister accepted his offer without a second thought.

Cordelia was ten years his junior, so she had to endure three more years of Winston's bullshit, but Naruto made sure to let her know that if she was in danger, she should come to him.

The Uzumaki began to reminisce about the past at the time after she finished military school. He was offered the opportunity to join the army, but he refused it. He had had enough of taking orders from others for several lifetimes.

One year after leaving the military academy, Naruto had used his luck and mutant power to amass a fortune through gambling. He planned to use the money as startup capital to establish a medical and military weapons company.

The blonde decided to call his company Whirlpool Inc. It was started as a small weapons and security service, but soon he moved up to include medical supply services.

Naruto used his memories of his past life to help him invent new things in his present one, such as soldier pills. He was able to reinvent them and supply them to the military.

The Uzumaki security company was also booming; he hired ex-military personnel who were out of work and other highly trained people. His security services also included cyber security; therefore, he had a team of computer experts working for him.

The weapon manufacturing part of his business was also doing well; the blonde with his mutant power was able to create top-of-the-line weapons, but it was his weapons made of Vibranium and Adamantium that made him a millionaire.

Naruto made sure to have a small supply of the precious metals and sold them to the government, which allowed him to get a contract with the army.

Another interesting thing that happened a few years back was that his sister Emma was kidnapped, but it turned out she had a bad taste in boyfriends because her latest one, Troy Killkelly, a man with brown hair and eyes, was addicted to gambling. As a result, he owed a lot of dangerous people a lot of money.

When the loan sharks came knocking, he tried to have Emma use her powers to clear his debts. But his sister, who wasn't experienced in using her power, didn't work. So Troy had the stupid idea to stage a kidnapping.

The ransom for Emma was sent to Winston, but he immediately turned it down, which wasn't surprising because it showed how little their father really cared for them.

Flashback Scene Ahead...

Boston [Apartment Complex]...

"I don't think you understand me, old man. If you don't pay the ransom, I will cut your daughter into a million pieces and send her back to you piece by piece." Troy said in a serious voice, but he was surprised at the response he got.

"Do what you want with the whore, I have no daughter. Don't call this number again." Winston replied and cut the connection before Troy could say anything.

"Well, shit," Troy said loudly. His parents were drug addicts and neglectful, but at least they would have listened if someone had said they kidnapped him. He looked at Emma's emotionless face and felt bad for her.

"What now?" Emma asked as she tried not to think about her father's words, and the useless woman her mother was.

"I will try to see if the loan sharks will give me some more time to pay them back and we can go to some casinos to win some money using your powers," Troy stated. It was a sound plan; with Emma's telepathy, she would be able to rake in cash at the blackjack and poker tables.

"Are you sure that would work?" Emma asked as she had read the minds of the loan sharks and they meant business.

"Don't worry; they won't kill me. If they did, how would they get back their money?" Troy said confidently like a dead man can't pay off his debts.

"Okay, if you're sure, but I think we should make a run for it and leave the state or even the country for a while," Emma suggested, as that was the safest option for them.

"If we run now, we'll have to run for the rest of our lives. Either we're dead or the loan sharks are dead." Troy stated. He had already thought of running away, but he didn't want to have to look over his shoulder all day long.

"Fine, we'll do it your way," Emma said as she prayed that everything would work out. She had a bad feeling but chose to ignore it.

"It will be okay. You'll see," Troy said with a smile and pulled Emma into a hug.

"I hope you're right," Emma said. "Do you want to order a pizza for dinner or Chinese?"

"I feel like a large pepperoni pizza," Troy stated as he went on the phone to make the order. Emma watched him, hoping that their happy time together would last forever.

Fast Forward [One Week Later]...

As it turned out, the loan sharks wanted to make an example out of Troy so that others wouldn't think they wouldn't kill them if they owed them money.

It happened in a three-story building. One of the people Troy owed money to had called him over to discuss how he was going to pay Troy back. Troy brought Emma along as backup.

"So it turns out we don't need you to pay back your debt anymore, Troy. My boy," a white man with gray hair said.

"What do you mean?" Troy asked in confusion. Did someone pay his debts for him? That was the only way he knew a loan shark would say those words.

Emma, who had remained silent thus far, was reading the thoughts of those present, all four men (excluding the boss, who was sitting behind his desk), who looked at Troy as if he were a bug to be squashed.

"So we're going to finally kill this piece of shit and take his girl. She's from a rich family; I'm sure they'd pay a lot to get her back." One of the goons thought. Emma's eyes widened before she could say anything. A gunshot was heard, and then a thump as Troy hit the ground.

No!" screamed Emma as her boyfriend hit the ground; he had been shot in the chest and was coughing up blood.

"I'm sorry for involving you in all of this, Emma. If you can try to get away from it," Troy said as he was slowly dying.

"Don't talk, you idiot! Save your strength; you're going to be okay." Emma said as she tried to apply pressure to his wound.

"We both know I'm dying," Troy responded as his voice grew weaker. "I love you, Emma, and I always will."

"I love you too," Emma said as the light left her lover's eyes. She was desperate to save at least a small part of Troy. So she used her telepathic ability to copy his memories into her own mind.

"That cock-sucker is finally dead. Dump the body into the ocean; let him sleep with the fishes." The boss said as he watched Emma faint. He assumed that she fainted from seeing her boyfriend die, but it was because of using her mutant ability. "Take the princess to the basement and lock the door. She'll get me a good bit of money when her family pays for her release."

Four Days Later...

"Emma Frost, daughter of Winston and Hazel Frost, has been reported to have been kidnapped. If you or anyone you know calls...," a female reporter on the television said.

"What have you gotten yourself into this time," Naruto said aloud as he knew Emma was in Boston with the loser she called her boyfriend recently but he didn't know things would turn out so badly.

The blonde guessed that Adrienne must have gotten her hands on the ransom tape and leaked it to the press to both make Winston look bad if he did nothing to save his daughter and so that the kidnappers might cut their losses and kill Emma.

Naruto shook his head sadly at how messed up his new family was in this life, even Cordelia had her bratty moments but he spanked them right out of her and she had been trying to be a better person.

The blonde changed his clothes to something similar to an Anbu, but with a hood, he was going to search for Emma. While he had some resentment toward her, he didn't want her to die.

"The kidnappers had demanded $10 million be wired to a foreign bank account and they would release Emma after, police are still hopeful that she is alive...," The reporter continued as Naruto used his powers to fly outside his apartment building in Queens toward Boston unaware a female figure saw him.

Flashback Scene End...

It was then that Naruto made his first appearance as a hero to save his sister's life; the media had come to call him Ragnarok the invincible hero.

Naruto found it fitting, as he used his telekinetic ability to make a skin-tight shield around himself, giving him invulnerability and increasing his strength and speed.

The Uzumaki had made sure that Emma made it out safely but he kept himself out of sight; he saw that she took the ransom money and moved to another city. Ironically, she moved to NYC, the same place he was located.

Naruto decided not to make contact with Emma for both their sakes. She just saw the second man she loved die in front of her.

It would be years before Naruto heard from Emma and the rest of his family. This was because of an underground secret society called the Hellfire Club. They offered him a position among their ranks.

Apparently, they wanted to use him and his company in one of their schemes, but Naruto was smart enough to play along until it was the right time to act against them.
