Dhalia: I don’t even know what to think anymore

Gwen: Yeah…its, hard to even know how to explain

Dhalia: Why would my dad want me to be human but want me to feel hurt by others growing up? How does that make any sense?

Gwen: That’s kind of why I’m on the fence about things. I don’t get it. But I’m scared to ask questions.

Dhalia: …What else can you tell me? I need to know everything I possibly can

Gwen: sigh Everything I know, is that, the plan was to turn you human, you couldn’t know about it, and the people in town who are in this community are required to be distant from you, or cause issues for you, to an extent. A lot of it was just letting bad things happen. You weren’t supposed to like being who you are. That’s what they told us. And that when it was time, you’d be put through the ceremony to help make you human. But I’m glad that you decided not to go through with it. I personally think you should be allowed to exist as yourself without scru-

Dhalia: No! That’s not what I want! I don’t want to just exist. I don’t want to be pitied and simply allowed to be myself suddenly now. I want to be human! I want to be normal!

Gwen: Well, what? But I thought you guys left-

Dhalia: I…that wasn’t me who made that decision. sigh but I’m not gonna blame you for it cause you felt like it wasn’t right…its not your fault. Its my dads, I can’t believe that he didn’t think explaining this to me would be a good idea. And my mom sh-wait, whats the deal with my mom? What is her role in all of this?

Gwen: Um, well, I don’t know exactly…apparently she used to be very vocal at meetings but has gotten really quiet over the years. She’s really attached to the hip with Vylek.

Dhalia: That doesn’t…really, reflect what I see. The quiet part I can see but not her being close with my dad. She always seemed so distant from him.

Gwen: At the meetings she was always right behind him. I don’t know…

Dhalia: what do you mean by meetings? You keep mentioning them.

Gwen: Once in a while Vylek asks for everyone to meet and then we just go over stuff. Theres the big general meetings with everyone where he’s just giving updates, and then theres the smaller personal ones with the people closer in the community. I know Carlos started going to those recently, he was invited in. I don’t know why, he just told me he convinced them to let him in. But he hasn’t told me much about anything different or more than what I already know.

Dhalia: We should probably find him

Gwen: I don’t know where he’s been for over 24 hours now.
