Good job immediately understanding the point of the bar scene, because the gay subtext SAILED over my head when I first watched it lol.

If Mike was truly wise, he wouldn't have gone into this world once again after getting his son killed. He had a grand daughter and daughter in law to protect. Hats off to the writers to make a character who talks straight, but is a walking contradiction and getting the audience in a turmoil like this.

I disagree. Mike does have principle. He's definitely a man of principle even though he can't always get what he wants. The difference between Mike and Nacho's dad is just a difference in the meaning of the word "Justice". They live in different worlds and make different choices because they understand justice differently but it doesn't make Mike a "hypocrite" like you said. Mike believe in his definition of what's right and he never betrayed it. That's principle.

The last glance between Gus and Mike maybe Mike feels a little bit of hate towards Gus but understands he is the boss just in parallel to Eladio and Gus

Fun fact, the photos at Howard's funeral are from Patrick Fabian's instragram and they had to crop one of the photos because he was hanging out with Tony Dalton (Lalo). It's nice to know that even though their one interaction in the show had such a tragic outcome, they are good friends in real life.

I loved your analysis of Gus in the bar.

Just so you're not confused, in case you guys haven't been told, there's a character in the next episode who's been recast so it's a little odd at first

The last thing Jimmy said “ Let justice be done though the heavens fall” is the same thing Chuck said in Chicanery to Howard

That was the first time they said they loved each other. It’s perfect that they saved it for when the relationship ended. Also Kim was always enticed to do bad but this was the first giving in all the way. Her mom paralleled her eventual relationship with Jimmy. She was praised by her mom after she stole the earrings despite her knowing she did the wrong thing, she got rewarded by the person she loved and they bonded briefly over that. Every time she gave in to doing bad things with Jimmy, their relationship got better. We saw Kim could stand her ground against her mom’s wishes and we saw her finally do that with Jimmy despite it being a bit too late. I know you guys are not feeling her at the moment but I think Kim is the best character out of the breaking bad universe. She’s so layered and Rhea plays her perfectly.

Not at all. That's just what they tell themselves to justify it.

Mike knows exactly who he is whether he has a code or not. He was a dirty cop who got his son killed. He knows his soul is lost and is only out to get as much money for his family as he can. Neither Mike nor Nacho would ask or want anyone’s sadness. They knew the risks and did what they did knowingly unlike Walt.

Paul Walker

Yes scamming Howard was a trill & turn on for Kim and Jimmy but let’s not forget the Sandpiper settlement was a key contributor as well.

Everyone keeps saying that Mike is a man of principle. A man who has borders etc etc. The scene with Nacho's dad shows us all what a hypocrite Mike is and also politely indicates what a hypocrite we all are as viewers/individuals thinking that Mike is a man of principle. It also shows us a perfect example who a man of principle really is. It was Nacho's dad. Possibly the only person in the whole Breaking Bad universe who really is a man of principle. Unbelievable how subtly this show and characters are written. So many layers and meaning.

where are episodes 7 and 8?

I appreciate how disgusted you guys are with Kim and Jimmy. They are revolting.

Queen Alicent's Feet

You guys do know that Jimmy and Kim can’t really say anything about Howard’s death due to them being a target for Gus is they did. I just find your anger for them here to be hilarious.🤣🤣🤣

The thing about Mike telling Ignacio’s dad about him “not being a bad guy, but he just fell in with bad people; but he was not like them at all” is something a lot people either look over or don’t understand. This scene is the perfect representation of who Mike is; a walking contradiction. The things he’s saying about Nacho things he’s trying to say about himself. But it’s utterly not true. The reason I was never really sad about Nacho’s death is the same reason I wasn’t really sad about Mike’s death; there were in that situation due to the decisions they chose to make. At the end of the day both men were still violent, murdering criminals because they chose to be; leading to both Mike’s granddaughter and Nacho’s dad having a target on their backs. Mike believes because he has a “code of honor”, he believes he’s morally superior to the other criminals. But what BCS and BB portrays brilliantly is that there is no such thing as honor in the criminal underworld. His code means nothing because he still chooses to be a part of that life; and Nacho’s dad rightfully calls him out on it.
