Better Call Saul 6x8 Reaction

Mike lost lots of respect for Jimmy here.

I agree it's a heartbreaking tragedy that Howard is buried with his murderer in such a disgraceful place. It hits hard. The only thing that made me feel better about this after the show ended was seeing that the actors who play Howard and Lalo are good friends who often post selfies of themselves doing stuff like hiking and hanging out... they always make a cheesy joke about being together forever. ☹️😄

I think people overestimate Gus quite a bit. Yes, he was clever and always had many contingency plans, but in this case he was helped out by luck. He was in an absolute panic when he dove for the gun and that's why he emptied it and kept firing in shock afterwards. He was lucky that he hit Lalo and that it was a fatal shot. He's also lucky he didn't catch a bullet to the head in that messy shootout in the dark. Combo of good planning and good luck.

The only reason why chuck is right is because chuck rejected Jimmy and was jealous at jimmy because he was going to be working with chuck without putting all the work chuck put into which leaded to jimmy becoming Saul Goodman

"you know who really knew Jimmy.....Chuck" (Howard Hamlin) Its funny how this entire show basically proves Chuck right all along. At the beginning we hated Chuck for his comments but now we completely agree with him

And now after Mike saw what Saul did to Howard with the cocaine scheme, he treats Saul like a low life in BB. I was wondering how their relationship could get where BB had it. Now we know how he lost respect for Saul.

Pudgey is totally right about the 'home court advantage'. We know how keen on details Gus is. He probably knows the exact dimensions of the lab, knows where the switch was, knows where he placed the gun, knows that Lalo has never been in the lab before that, in the dark, he's not going to dive for cover but stand where he was and keep firing. Very bleak episode, because we know exactly what happens to Gus, Mike and the lab. The 'win' over Lalo is totally hollow, and the fact Howard, completely unknown in BB, was buried beneath their feet the whole time, is haunting. Great reaction, guys.
