Added 2022-11-05 14:13:09 +0000 UTCI say all the time that I love complimentary colors and it's because they not only give that pop I go for, but they have an amazing range between them.
When you mix orange and blue, you end up with a sort of gray tone, which is very neutral and easy on the eyes. You can see this start to happen on the rump and thigh, where neither blue nor orange overpower the other. While you start with only two colors, mixing gives you access to endless colors between them. The additional yellow almost turns this into a triad color scheme, which meets my preference for at least three distinct color zones.
