Great video, dude! Really great deconstruction of the design choices and limitations of the staff during the development process. Honestly I enjoy these videos more as a review rather than as a how to, but either way the content is great. Keep it up, Paul!

For me, I did not join the legion, because I thought it was a corpse in search of a grave. With out Caesar's capabilities, the legion will die. They need a mythical figure to lead them, but that runs into the wise king issue. You know, a kingdom has a wise king who makes everything wonderful, then his two successors screw things up so bad that the kingdom dies. Even if we save Caesar's life and he lives for another decade or so, then so what? He ain't the kind of guy to raise up a successor, and his teachings would simply have him killed off ASAP. Just like how Stalin died, folks would be too afraid to contradict him or annoy him, that he suffers a heart attack or a stroke, and no one checks on him for a whole week till his next official appointment. By then, his corpse would of rotted a bit. Sure, you, an outsider, could be the next leader, but that simply kicks the can down the road. Unless you fundamentally changed the legion, which would cause a huge civil war, their society leads to death, of themselves and others.

I mostly remember frustrating parts if the game. Trying to save the soldier from the fish mutants. Trying to blow up the mind crontrol plants. Trying to complete or trigger companion quests. (Boon's history checks suck.) Outside of that, I never finished it. I would reach end game, and look for an independent victory. My head finished the game, so everything grew dull.
