Channel News and Updates!!

Don't know if you guys have noticed, but my videos have been getting fucking killed lately, even though the like/dislike ratio is high, some as high as 500 to 1, I am still getting 5% of views from subscribers. So, 5000 out of my 60k sub count are actually seeing my videos.

I am posting here in hopes of getting some feedback from you guys because my Veteran's Affairs video got buried and managed to only receive about 3000 views which is awful because more people need to know what the fuck is going on in the Vet community and how they are being treated, but youtube is burying it. The worst part is it is likely not even on purpose.

Long rant coming. When this channel first started, it was a hobby, nothing more than that. Just something to occupy my time as I dealt with being single for the first time in 15 years. The videos would get, maybe, 100 views and maybe 10 a day after posting. I was satisfied with that. But some time around the posting of hypernormalisation I started getting 1100 subs a day and that shit not only scared me, but blew my mind. I started trying to use the platform to educate and to inform and sometime post serious topics from a point of view that most may not have experienced.

Some time after the ad-pocolypse happened, my channel took a nose dive off a high jump into a shallow pool and it hasn't recovered. I get the stock like of everything is normal from youtube and I keep getting told to change my thumbnails and titles and shit like that but I've done that and at this point, I don't know what the fuck to do. They tell me to tell people to ring the bell, but the thing is, the people that need to ring the bell no longer see notifications from my channel, which youtube admits to, so you have me in a bit of a can't win situation now. I basically have to start all over again.

I am a father of three now, and my time is very limited. My essentialist mindset has determined that I need to rid myself of things that aren't important and my favorite thing, youtube, is becoming my least favorite distraction, which sucks because for so long it was the only thing that got me through those rough times. It is like saying goodbye to a best friend that drinks too much and has become toxic.

Since you guys, the audience, have eye balls that aren't mine, what do you think the problem is. If you are a viewer who stopped watching, why? If you are a viewer who still watches, why? Post a comment and maybe do the survey.

I appreciate all the people who have stayed around and I want to keep this a viable hobby and hopefully, with your help, I can do that.

Thanks, Paul
