I used to not listen to an artist if I looked at their name and it sounded really weird to me. I just completely would take them at face value and see their name and go that’s not for me at all. With a name like Geordie Greep 2-3 years ago I’d have looked at that name busted out laughing and gone yeah I ain’t never hearing that. But now I’m trying to break past that, gonna turn this on have no idea what it is but I hope I like it.

2024-12-18 20:51:01 +0000 UTCI love the whole narrative, feels like it takes you throughout the journey of an incel and there macho exterior spiralling into insecurity and self destructiveness (especially prevalent in Holy Holy) into eventually having hate for this woman (pretty sure a sex worker) and then ending it off with a song where he's still dreaming of her. so much to unpack lyrically but i love how well written it was with lyrics like: repeating 'how much will that cost' 'i would give you a million kisses if only you turned your head' the repeated line 'But only an hour' even when hes thinking of a personal relationship and family with her Alot of the lines are really funny to listen to but seem like a sad desperate reality of people that still exist in the modern day that are really isolated to end on a gross note, the line where he talks about getting an incurable disease he's likely referring to getting a std from this girl, but he likes it as it feels like a part of her he gets to have and feels like its her whenever he gets an itch or pain from it. Very wierd I know. sorry for the long message i just wanted to spill it all.
