Jon, would highly recommend watching the Do Better.video with the knowledge of Ab-Soul working his way back from his suicide jump. One of the few songs this year that's made me cry, and gets me emotional every time I hear. it now. All love for Soulo and glad hes doing better now

2022-12-19 18:13:20 +0000 UTCI think you can hear the parts he recorded after his suicide attempt. His speech sounds slightly different due to the injuries and him still needing reconstructive surgery on his mouth if I remember correctly.

2022-12-18 18:59:38 +0000 UTCSoulo recently did an interview I’m pretty sure where he stated that during the hiatus from music he did actually try to commit suicide. This album hit a lot harder for me knowing that, some of the lyrics come at you differently. He also lost a very close friend called Doeburger recently, hence the bar on the last song “My guardian angel’s name is Doe, I could never go broke”.
