2022-05-05 14:01:47 +0000 UTCLet's goooooo, I can't wait to see your thoughts on this. It's definitely a departure from their 1998 album you just reacted to, but I knew you'd like it nonetheless. Talib is still coming with his classic flow and writing style, but over the last 24 years, Yasiin Bey has evolved into a more melodic, nearly comatose flow. I think you'd really like his first solo album Black on Both Sides or his 2009 album the Ecstatic. The latter has a bunch of Madlib and even some J Dilla production. If you want some Black Thought in the coming months, you gotta check out Things Fall Apart or his recent Streams of Thought Vol. 1 project, it's only 17 minutes long.
