Lucille didn't think Negan ran out on her.... she left a note on the door for him, she knew he'd be back. I don't think she gave Negan 'chance after chance'.... he had an affair and that was the only time. She was on his side in the fight that cost him his job, she just didn't like him playing video games instead of trying to get his stuff together. Negan truly loved her and leaving to get her meds might have partly had to do with his guilt but he really wanted her to get better so they could be together and have a second chance. Since we have met Negan he has been putting on a show, becoming who he though he needed to be.... it was never who he truly was, we seen that all throughout season 8 and this episode solidified that.
