Y'all know this community always tries not to spoil you guys! See how incredible your reaction was seeing for the first time 🥰 I absolutely love this episode bcos of Tae's moment and Jin being the social butterfly introvert that he is. I think Tae being so nervous also had a lot to do with the audience, not being ARMY's. I realized it just recently when Wendy sang in Jin's showcase. She said she was really nervous singing in front of people who are not her fans. I think it goes the same for BTS - they're very comfy performing in front of hundreds of thousands of ARMY's, more than in front of 20 people who do not know them. I understand them very well. So I am so proud of Tae, doing this in a foreign country without ARMY at his back. 💜

What a whirlwind this was to read hahaha, we are so glad that you didn't have to experience an actual tsunami and that you are safe. We appreciate you sharing this travel story with us, you have such an optimistic outlook on life. We may have been a bit more uneasy about having to stay for a few extra weeks, but you looked at the bright side. Amazing Betty... Also thank you so much for you kind words and consistent support. Love ya!!💜

Hi J&J, 👋 checking - in. First things first; love you guys. You are great at what you do and just so you know many times what you do means the world to some of us ARMY. You may not hear about it, but I'm sure many other ARMY'S will agree that you not only put a smile on our faces, make us laugh super out loud, comfort us even when we didn't know we needed it, make us secretly yell ("yes, finally"! or "yay you got it") when you learn/discover something about BTS that we knew already, but most importantly that you share your natural human existence, kindness, support, feelings, silliness, etc, etc with all of us. Thank you. OK, now 2nd; I have to say, I've been ARMY since 2017, and it's been an amazing journey and can't wait for more! I always want to comment more, but I watch your reactions late at night and always fall a sleep after. Anyway, I so enjoy all the Bon Voyage series, they are one of my favorite BTS content, because we get to see them at their most relaxed, natural, layed-back, honest and real selves. Ok, so I've been wanting to share my crazy travel story since the first BV season. OK, here it is. I traveled to Thailand my first time back in Dec-2006. I was only planning to be there for less than two weeks. I met one of my best friends, Jessica there. She had already been there before and was living there at the time of my visit. First spent a couple days in the capital, Bangkok. Then traveled south to the east Ko Pha Ngan island, we were only going to be there for 5 days. While there enjoying the beach, the sun, having a great time. Two days before leaving we had go buy our tickets for the ferry to get back to the mainland. When we got to the main town we noticed all the places to buy ferry tickets were closed. We asked about it and were told that it was a mandate from the government that all travel was forced to shut down/lock down in all the entire region of islands. Not just Thailand, ALL surrounding countries, because there was a TSUMAMI warning! At first my friend and I were a bit confused not understanding the severity of it. Since the weather was absolutely marvelous and beautiful, perfect to say the least. We were told no one was to leave the island until the travel ban was lifted. We went back to our resort and really thought "things will be ok tomorrow". Talking to the resort management we were forbidden to go to the beach/ocean and were asked to call our families back home (Las Vegas) to tell them about the circumstances and stay in our rooms. Once nightfall came sure enough that night the storm came. It was rain and thunder like I had never seen before, it was not rain drops, they were buckets pouring as if literally the grey sky opened up and water just cascade from the darkest clouds. But a couple of us guests, plus some staff gathered at the open restaurant (a place with no windows, which is normal) to be with each other's company. The storm would ease up, the rain would stop, but then it would start again. After two and a half days the sky cleared and the Tsunami warning was lifted. The sea level rose dramatically (about 5 feet to 6 feet after this, there was hardly any clear sand to walk on). Thank God a full on Tsunami never developed, it was just a rain storm as the locals called it. We couldn't leave the island because ferrys were still not allowed on open waters, which for me ment that I was definitely not going to make it back to the capital-Bangkok and therefore missing my flights back home. On that day it was still uncertain when anyone would be leaving any of the islands from the entire region, even from any of the surrounding countries. Imagine thousands and thousands of tourists trying to reschedule flights in a matter of 2 to 3 days. It was impossible. Management offered all guests help to reschedule our travel arrangements (so nice of them and what a task for them). So we all gave them our itineraries, passports, credit cards #'s, in the meantime we were told to just enjoy our stay and have fun. The weather was back to normal 80° to 90°, just beautiful. When the staff contacted me to come to the office I was given two different dates, which was the best they could do to reschedule my trip back home. It was either Dec 27th or Jan 5th. Mind you it was Dec 4th. So, I choose Jan 5th, because when would I ever get to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve in Thailand? Right? So I called my work (it was a Friday), before even calling my family. I told my boss that I would not be able to make to work on the coming Wednesday, I was stuck in Thailand on an island for the next 4 weeks! My boss was just so happy to hear from me and thrilled that I was still alive! He told me that they had been communicating with my family and were so worried about me. He said to take all the time necessary and come back home safely! Then he ordered me to call my dad, and I did. When I eventually came back to work everyone was so happy to see me they threw a party! My friend, Jessica and I ended up staying on the island for 3 weeks, before heading back to Bangkok for another week. So, it turned out to be an amazing vacation just with a bit extra rain. I went back to Thailand in Nov 2022 for 5 weeks and it was awesome! I learned if I'm going to travel anywhere overseas, a week and a half is just not enough! Life is short and we have to get out there and see this beautiful world! 🌎 Again thank you J&J for your amazing journey with BTS, can't wait for your reactions of the BU, it's going to be wild! Love you guys! Borahae ARMY!💜 💜 💜 P.S. Next time you guys are in Vegas, I know a place where you can have a "stein of beer and a pork shank" like the one Jungkook had in Berlin. Or maybe even a BTS concert in Vegas! Just saying! Bye for now!
